Against The Grain -- Week 17 | FanNation

Maybe the Patriots are simply a victim of karma. Their bad luck this season can be attributed Spygate, taunting the Chargers after beating them in the playoffs and Tom Brady leaving his pregnant girlfriend. The football gods might have gotten mad because Bill Belichick thought he knew more than them.
WTF

You got that from FanNation. No suprises here. FanNation is the TMZ of sports journalism.

I think a couple of my brain cells just died.

Journalism? You couldn't possibly think that site has anything to do with journalism?

Fan nation? It should be called fornication nation because the can GFT.

Karma?

If that's the case, what did the poor Lions ever do to go 0-16?

They should stick a tampon in it really.

So if going 11-5 and missing the playoffs is our karma for Spygate...

Then what kind of horrible sin did the Detroit Lions commit that they deserve to not win a single game this season!?

Failure to spend more on good telecommunications service, the result of which caused the owner to hear Barry Sanders' response to his question of "How do you feel?" after Sanders' last season as "I'm retired" instead of "I'm tired," and Sanders was too humble to correct the owner.

I love that explanation (from Sanders or the team, I don't remember which) on why Sanders retired when he did. It was visionary, anticipating that line of cell phone service commercials many years later.

Forget Fannation, but this Perloff tool's article is posted on the front page of CNNSI right now. Disgusting.
