It's easy, and only takes a few moments. The Boston sports media aren't exactly known for their nice approach.I don't know what this guy is getting at. I thought Wolf was fine. He was positive. He didn't cut the conference, I heard someone to his right call last question, but he took a couple more. I don't know what Wolf and the Patriots will become but maybe we could give them at least a week or two of real football.
A lot of QB's who who were taken Third from their respective classes have turned out pretty good ie... Allen - Watson and Herbert.Yes, we will evaluate Maye year 2.
I don't either. I obviously watched it and transcribed it and at no point did Eliot look like a "frightened mouse." He just didn't exhibit the same concern Volin apparently feels, which I don't recall another GM ever saying, "Yeah, all these guys suck and we should have gotten somebody else back during the offseason." So I don't know what his point of reference for that comment is, but it's totally off base.I don't know what this guy is getting at. I thought Wolf was fine. He was positive. It's pretty common human nature for people (especially in sports) to consider demeanor before performance. If Wolf has the Pats in good position by year 3, no one is going to care that he's a soft spoken guy. (Well, Volin might, but who cares). If Wolf doesn't, it's not going to be because he doesn't project.I get this reaction but if anyone has listened to him before he always sounds like that
All you gotta say is "Volin". Dude doesn't know what he's actually talking about from a football standpoint so he has to focus on things that don't matter like "how confident the GM sounded".It's pretty common human nature for people (especially in sports) to consider demeanor before performance. I know you're right but people frustrate the hell outta me.It's pretty common human nature for people (especially in sports) to consider demeanor before performance. Yes because he has Favre and Rodgers ahead of him on the depth chart thanks for your two cents Chatty.
There will be plenty of Mop up duties if Biscuit starts games will be over before they begin that should sit well with Gillette masses. He’s right though. Maye should only see mop up/getting mopped up duty in September and October. UNC is a small time program compared to what he will see on Sundays. Better to see it from the sidelines with a coach directly next to him to talk through things and refine his thought processes.
Wolfe is in a no win situation. The team sucks and he knows it. What can he say? If he is negative the team’s morale will be destroyed. If he is too positive he comes off sounding like someone who knows nothing about football. He is just being himself. All you gotta say is "Volin". Yeah, reading this article I was thinking "treating a guy like crap before they've even played a game just because you're determined to treat him like crap no matter what is how you get fast-tracked to getting the BB treatment".Wolfe is in a no win situation. I am glad he is not trying to imitate BB
Media: We hate Bill. He's a meany, he doesn't give us nice quotes and fluffy stuff to write. It's also hard to take anything Volin says or writes even semi serious. He is a clown, like most media. I wanted to pursue sports journalism at one time and I am glad I did not.
