Peter King was lied to by the NFL. Robert Klemko was told not to include damaging info in his story. But the Patriots are the shady ones.
And the NFL was stupid enough to want to bury it on one hand but put the video on their website for a year....Rocket scientists, they aren't...
Well we knew that when the Ideal Gas Law was explained...

Tom Brady has a Fall Guy. Roger Goodell.

It is his trump card. He's getting ready to bring back to the front page to cover up the Fall Guy BS.

They addressed it first thing on Monday Night Countdown and they had an OTL about it earlier today. It'll be forgotten by the NFL and BSPN by tomorrow. He tweeted an apology and now he's verbally apologized on TV. All is forgiven by those morons.

The major problem about this whole thing is, like a criminal crying in court, they only cry because they got caught, not because they are truly sorry. If it wasn't for that former player, nobody would've even known about this, and that video would still be there, and I'm sure nobody besides smart people (us) would be saying boo about this. I truly feel our attacking him on Twitter truly helped bring this to light.

Today on "The NFL Can't Keep It's Story Straight Theater," we learn that Cris Carter gave the same "fall guy" speech to the AFC rookies:

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...ll-guy-comments-nfl-rookies-article-1.2336034

We had been told that the NFL had "immediate concerns" after Carter made his comments to the NFC rookies and that he did not repeat them when he spoke to the AFC players. Turns out, that wasn't the case, which puts into doubt how concerned about this the NFL was.

Edit to add: This was the NFL's statement on Carter:

“This was an unfortunate and inappropriate comment made by Cris Carter during the 2014 NFC rookie symposium. The comment was not representative of the message of the symposium or any other league program. The league’s player engagement staff immediately expressed concern about the comment to Cris. The comment was not repeated in the 2014 AFC session or this year’s symposium.”

Really no room for ambiguity there. Either the Jets players are lying about what Carter said or the NFL was lying in this statement. Given their track record, I'm going with the latter.

Well given what their response was when this story broke and them having the video on their site for over a year they are clearly lying.

Plus the NFL would rather have some poor bastard go to jail than a star player as it protects the brand and helps the team.

Then again, if said player is a squeaky clean 4x Super Bowl champion QB and 2X MVP, then it is appropriate to railroad him for conspiracy to commit ball deflation if it makes the commissioner look in control and satisfy jelious owners
