He's saying that he objectively did his job and Drew Bledsoe put himself in harms way to make a play that led to the result. He's not wrong. It's stupid for Jets fans to get mad at him for making a hard hit to QB running o the outside that resulted in him being knocked out for part of the season.This has got to be the weirdest explanation I've ever heard.

It's almost like he thinks Patriots fans are mad at him or that it was a dirty play.
I mean, he almost killed Bledsoe in the end - but that's just football. I never looked at it as anything other than a clean play.
