Mini camp injuries; what the heck?

Same here. The only one I heard of was Fanene.

I got the information from combing through the daily reports by Reiss and the other so-called reporters.

For instance from this:It Is What It Is » Notes from the Patriots’ Wednesday afternoon minicamp practice

Wes Welker appeared to tweak something in his right leg toward the end of practice, while Alfonzo Dennard looked to have a problem with his left leg midway through the workout.

I have no idea how serious the injuries (the Welker injury is probably not too bad) were but they were serious enough for the Patriots to rip up the rug. If these guys are on the sidelines when camp opens then we will know if they were serious injuries. It is not like the Patriots will tell us or they want to admit they screwed up.

For the turf to come off that quick someone must have been PO'd.

I suspect that Jones and Dennard have a problem but I don't know for sure. It really really sucks that so many guys can go down so quick.

A leg injury or 'tweak' that causes an NFL player to take time off of an OTA is about the equivalent of indigestion to you or I, and has just about the same impact on them being able to be 100% for the season as it does on you being able to handle the chicken wings for the opener.

Let's hope so! I suspect (hope) that the some injuries were serious but most were minor. We will not know for sure until camp starts. The Patriots certainly thought that injuries were serious enough to rip up the turf.
