About three times shorter than last year's transcripts while packing three times the essence. I really don't care to compare anymore but the difference is mindblowing.

Tell me more.

I’m still a BB fan; but I do find it interesting how Vrabel kinda does the BB thing, …. only better. I mean he fully answers the questions, but at the end of the answer, …. they still really came away with nothing more than they already know. lol.

The one maybe actual informative response that I did really like: the chip kelly index card comment: ‚He ran like 7 plays, just really good.‘

And compare to the other prior coach too, he actually gave some useful info to the media without giving away game plans (lol at the question asking what Vrabel says the keys to victory will be this week). Using that example, he could have gone full Belichick and said, don’t turn the ball over and score more points than the other team. Instead he actually explained his process of determining what he tells the players and why. And to your point, didn’t take 5 minutes responding to that question using corporate buzzwords, platitudes, and contradictions either, unlike last year.

Vrable seems like a combination of Parcells and Belichick.....Although a little more Parcells than Belichick

Not quite sure I see parcels in him that you do. They never had overlap as player-coach. Not sure who from any parcels tree MV might have worked for as coach. I assume no mentorship influence there.

Personality wise I see MV as a players coach. …How he describes the process of returning a recovering player was definitely a former player speaking. How he is very detail oriented & hands on with individual guys about their technique.

Some folks think of BP as a players coach cause he would standup for them to the media & he was a bit of a blowhard. But he was not a player himself ( to my knowledge)
& I would be shocked if you ever found video of him holding a blocking pad or changing someone’s hand position.

But anyway; I like what we got so far ….wherever he learned his trade.
