Patriots Player Departure Mike Reiss: David Andrews to be released (3/13 update: released)

Being pedantic, Reiss is saying "plans to release" not actually released.

Who did it better Koppen or Strange?

Legend! Anchor the OL for 2 SB titles. Gave everything he had for us. And another awesome guy. That's 3 tough losses with nothing bad to say about any of them. Going to miss Andrews, Wise, and Jones a lot.

Vrabel is really turning the page. It's a new team.

I'm pulling for Strange. It's great to see a 1st rounder battle like that, and get a chance to re-emerge.

While we haven't any idea, I'm quite positive Coach Vrable does, and Doug Marrone does. I have a great deal of confidence in Vrable and staff. They will have, at the least, a positively functioning line this year. We have PTSD from the last few years, it's going to be better

Really like the player. Or, rather, the player he was. I know some never loved him, but a guy like this is gold on a team. Never too expensive, no draft capital, no sass, all effort and smarts.

They might be "planning to release" so that Andrews can retire on his own as a hero.
Amazing career for that guy, starting where he did, and doing what he did.
All-time Patriot kind of guy

I think Strange is a good guard, so I'm hoping he re-emerges there and Jake Andrews proves capable as center, with Ben or someone better as backup.
