I'd be shocked if McKenzie is cut.

Re: Mike Reiss and Mike Rodak predict how the Patriots roster will look come Septembe

My shot in the dark:

QB: (2) Brady, Hoyer

RB: (4) Taylor, Maroney, Morris, Faulk

WR: (6) Moss, Welker, Tate, Edelman, Price, Aiken

TE: (3) Crumpler, Hernandez, Gronkowski

OT: (4) Light, Vollmer, LeVoir, Bussey

OG/C: (6) Koppen, Neal, Kaczur, Connolly, Wendell, Ohrnberger

DL: (6) Wilfork, G. Warren, Wright, Brace, Pryor, Deaderick

OLB: (5) TBC, Cunningham, Woods, Burgess, Murrell

ILB: (5) Mayo, Guyton, Spikes, McKenzie, Fletcher

CB: (5) Bodden, Butler, McCourty, Arrington, Wheatley

S: (4) Meriweather, Chung, McGowan, Sanders

ST: (3) Ingram, Mesko, Gostkowski

Next guy on the list: Wilhite. I wouldn't be surprised to see him make it over Wheatley, Arrington, or McGowan.

That's a good projection. As you said....Wilhite probably over Wheatley.

QB: (3) Brady, Hoyer, Robinson

RB: (5) Taylor, Maroney, Morris, Faulk, Law-Firm

WR: (6) Moss, Welker, Tate, Edelman, Price, Aiken

TE: (2) Hernandez, Gronkowski

OT: (4) Light, Vollmer, LeVoir, Bussey

OG/C: (6) Koppen, Neal, Kaczur, Connolly, Wendell, Ohrnberger

DL: (6) Wilfork, G. Warren, Wright, Brace, Pryor, Deaderick

OLB: (5) TBC, Cunningham, Woods, Burgess, Murrell

ILB: (5) Mayo, Guyton, Spikes, McKenzie, Fletcher

CB: (5) Bodden, Butler, McCourty, Wilhite, Wheatley

S: (4) Meriweather, Chung, McGowan, Sanders

ST: (3) Ingram, Mesko, Gostkowski

Arrington and Crumpler being the major cuts. Murrell gets the nod for his ST play rather than his zero-impact linebacking skills.

Q: How is Alge Crumpler doing for you guys in camp?

BB: He’s doing great. He’s been a great addition to our team, on and of the field [with his] leadership, his experience. He adds a lot to our team. He certainly adds a lot to that position. Again, he has been around pro football his entire life. He really understands the game on and off the field. [He’s] very professional. [He’s] very well prepared. He’s been a great addition. He is really a model type of player. I don’t think there’s much you could ask him to do that he hasn’t done, given the opportunities that he’s had. Since he’s been here he’s been tremendous.

It Is What It Is Belichick talks Welker, Crumpler and Holt

I had my concerns about Crumpler when he was signed. He seemed to be eating his way out of the league. From BB's words today, though, Mr. Crumpler seems to have been getting it done to this point, and I doubt BB will cut him loose.*

*As always needs to be noted now, this is assuming there's no Fernando Bryant moment during the remainder of the offseason.

Arrington isn't getting cut.

Wilhite also might make the squad as the #10 DB instead of keeping a #10 LB in Fletcher.

Another roster projection, this one from the Boston Herald's Karen Guregian: Injuries, contract dispute alter shape of Patriots 53-man projection - BostonHerald.com

Miss Karen has the Pats again going with five running backs this season. She believes the team will keep only five receivers due to the way Hernandez will be utilized, resulting in Aiken being cut. On the OL she has Bussey making the squad over Ohrnberger, with Welch, Wendell and Larsen also making the team - though it appears she put this together prior to the trade for Ojinnaka.

On the defensive line she thinks Lewis is on the bubble but will make the team, Ninkovich edges out Woods at OLB, neither Fletcher nor Williams make the team at ILB, and Wheatley gets cut despite his showing so far at CB.

I would keep Ohrnberger, Wheatley, Aiken and Woods OVER
her choices of Green-Ellis, Larsen, Welch and Deaderick.

It seems that she has little understanding of the Practice Squad as an option of Larsen, Welch and Deaderick.

I also think that there is a good possibility of a veteran beating out Wendell.

Here's my shot:

QB (2): Brady, Hoyer

RB (5): Taylor, Maroney, Faulk, Morris, Green-Ellis

WR (6): Moss, Welker, Edelman, Tate, Price, Aiken

TE (3): Gronkowski, Hernandez, Crumpler

OL (9): Light, Vollmer, Bussey, Neal, Connolly, Ohrnberger, Ojinnaka, Koppen, Wendell

DL (6): G. Warren, Wright, Lewis, Pryor, Wilfork, Brace

LB (9): Banta-Cain, Cunningham, Burgess, Murrell, Ninkovich, Mayo, Spikes, McKenzie, Guyton

CB (5): Bodden, Butler, McCourty, Wheatley, Arrington

S (5): Meriweather, Chung, Sanders, McGowan, Brown

ST (3): Gostkowski, Mesko, Ingram

My biggest "surprise" is LeVoir being cut.

Wilhite over Sergio Brown...but, I like it.
