Is his contract up with the Bills? If he doesn't get the Browns job then he's probably out there if it is.

With all due respect to Patricia it would be nice if Pettine were interested or available for a lateral move. Knows the AFC East very well. He had a very aggressive defense with the Jets and the Bills were first in sacks last year. Hmmm....

No thanks...

Pettine is a very good DC....until the 4th quarter sitting on a lead then he goes prevent all the way, that's not a good quality to have.

He would be a better choice than Patricia though, this team has the front 7 to cause tons of havoc with a more aggressive scheme.

I heard that Pettine is meeting with Rob Ryan, Matt Patricia, Wade Phillips and Romeo Crennel to see if they can all join the Patriots and run the defense by committee.

Ah yes, more replacing of guys who don't need replacing.

I don't think his contract is up and he'll remain with the Bills if he doesn't jump to the Browns.

Momentum is building for him to be named Browns HC tonight or tomorrow morning.

That's not how Belichick chooses coordinators, after the initial assistants he has trained his coordinators then passed it off to them. They run the offense he wants and the defense he wants, they don't bring their own in.
