It's more than 1 guy.. laconfora, breer, riess, Curran, perry, all have reported similar things.. me personally I don't see a figure as important as BB to be fired... but hey NFL... anything can happen..

they are all using Volin as their source......they are all just monetizing the game, true sports journalism is long dead...one guy makes a "report" and then they all use him as their "source"

True, but guys like Riess, Curran as tied in to the team I take what they say literally. But yes national reporters tend to carbon copy..

What about the Bears?

They have some draft picks and don't look far from being a good NFC team.

Agree Bill could go to the Bears.

I’m hoping for Ben Johnson, or Robert smith, or I’ll say it Wes Welker could be a great story.
I’m not ruling out Brian Johnson Eagles OC or a homerun trade for a Mcvay or Shanny.

I personally want a offensive coach.. fuaria today on WEEI was floating out the idea of adding Kirk cousins and or Mike evans.. I'd love that! However we go.. I think it's just best for BB and organization to respectfully part ways..

I don’t want a retread QB draft a stud.

It's getting ugly out there for BB's reputation. This article doesn't pull any punches about BB's coaching tree and it's hard to argue with any of that.

I still don't see him going elsewhere at his age but sounds like if he can coach up a team somewhere else and they do well that will quiet a lot of the rumblings we're hearing now. It won't happen here unfortunately, this team isn't a quick fix away.

Mike Reiss didn't "report" anything but said he isn't taking any time off "in case anything happens". Mike is usually pretty plugged in and doesn't seem to say things just to say things.

Too much importance is put on the "success/failure" of a coaching tree and how that parent coach is viewed.

For example, Don Shula, Tom Landry, Joe Gibbs and Chuck Noll either don't have coaching trees or their's also suck. Do they suck too?

Bo Nix is 157 years old! He washed out at Auburn after a few years. You have to be careful of these "COVID kids" who have been in college since 2017! Strange is a perfect example, he hung around long enough to look good, maybe it was because he was 25 playing against 18 year olds, and not that he was any good.

I want the next coach and GM to pick the WR.. this current front office seems incapable of picking the right player at WR..
Yes but the fastest way to success is finding the next franchise QB.

Certainly if Marvin Harrison Jr is available....sign me up.

I have been no Bill pom pom waiver by any means but to me it should be a point in Bill's favor to some extent that his disciples fail. It isn't like he is being supported by some great group of coordinators that are budding super stars.

Although one could easily make the argument things started falling apart quickly when Scar and Ernie hung it up. The offensive line post-Scar has been a disaster and some of the in game adjustments, time out usage, and challenges (or lack thereof) have been an issue post-brine Adams.

Agreed. We definitely need the next QB.. question. If we end up with the top 5 pick in wich I'm sure we will.. who do I like at QB.? I'd love to be in a situation ther cincy was in with burrow/chase.

age is a concern.

I saw a mock draft where we take nix at 4.

So much for the claim Bill would leave this team in better shape than when he got here. 1999 team was light years ahead of this team in terms of talent. Cupboard is bare Billy boy.

Brother, Bill's run included 9 SB trips, winning 6, 17 AFCCG, 17 division titles. All good things come to an end and I think we need a change, but he's left this franchise as one of the best ever after his tenure.

Crazy to think Mac Jones is essentially his downfall.
