I am not saying Brown has lost a step, but is part of who stays and who goes, looking at Brown in 2028?
in 2028, Brown will be 31.5 years old. his cap hit will be $32m. none of it is guaranteed.

Can we just play out 2026 and 2027... can we all just get alone.

Boutte is being replaced by Brown, not so much Doubs, as Doubs can play X, Y or Z

By my thinking if Doubs is playing Y or Z or running those routes, you can have Boutte run the deep outside route with Brown on the other side - putting our 3 best WRs on the field at the same time, and likely confounding Ds who may double team Brown, while Doubs runs a route across the middle and Boutte goes deep

Boutte doesn't get the same separation as Brown does, but is still a helpful asset assuming we keep him.

KW can run those deep routes faster.

Morton is a guy I am paying attention to.

When the Pats drafted TFB I didn’t like the pick. They already had three QBs? Where were they going to put him?

Likewise when the Pats drafted Morton I didn’t like the pick. His arm seemed mediocre, but then I read that he was injured all of the last season, and he has shown a better arm in camp. He will be interesting to watch.

Let's not forget that we have a starting QB who is probably younger than Morton and will be our starting QB for the next 15 years or so. The best outcome for Morton and every other QB we draft for the next 15 years is that he develops and eventually gets good enough to become a backup, get some GOOD game film after an injury and is traded to a QB needy team for something more than a 6th round pick.
And then we draft another QB on the 3rd day and do it again until it becomes time to draft Maye's successor, so in about 13-15 years.
