Braylon Edwards.

This is amazing to me....Follow me on this.

Figure he was dressed and out the door for the team bus at 530pm ET.

Best guess is the charter flight back to PHX was at 630/7pm ET as they just ride right up to the charter.

MIA > PHX is a 5hr+ flight. Lets say he played it conservative and had 7 drinks on the plane.

He lands at ~9pm PT time. Figure hes drinking again at 10pm

He was pulled over at 230am. Figure he had his last drink at 2am.

So in the ~4hrs from the time he landed to when he stopped, he had another ~9 drinks.

Q: Where the hell were the coaches and teammates when they saw him pounding on the plane?

Could be more than that. His body was processing alcohol out of his system for 6 hours on top of that.

YES because what does the video show that we didnt already know. He was drunk driving

No he was charged with DUI. Which could have meant anything. Did not know BAC etc etc...

But the video pretty much shows he was hammered and now knowing he had an insane BAC will change most supportive type views.

So he could have been boozing before the game....

Great.

should lose his drivers license at a minimum and should be suspended from the NFL. He is lucky he is not in jail for 30 years for driving into a crowd of people or something. Feel kind of silly that all people have been talking about was whether he can field punts.

Fist , he will lose his license.

Second what someone could have done as a worse case scenario, and what they actually did in reality are two different things. Don't confuse the two!

The reality is that human beings make mistakes. Most of us don't root against someone trying to recovering from those mistakes.

Hopefully his agent has a come to Jesus talk with him and hammered home the point that for troubled players, the Patriots are most of the time, the last port of call before players wash out and disappear.

Great stuff Holmes. Case solved. On to SB.

This line killed me:

I thought it was the football club charter not the Fly High Air ..

I can't drink a lot on a plane. Couple of beers or glasses of wine and I'm sleepy.

I think anyone would be lying if that video didn't at least disturb you a little bit.

I feel bad for him. He clearly has issues. No one that didn't have an actual alcohol problem would try to drive in that kind of state. I hope he gets the help that he needs and rehabilitates.

Yeah, what a shame it would be to poison the jury pool with objective evidence.
releasing it in court is one thing. I think it is at least possible evidence could get spoiled if released to the public like that? Bu

So you think that every drunk driver should be denied the ability to work and recover from the mistake they made?

Or do you just condemn Patriot players who make a mistake?

That is a pretty high horse your riding around on!

100% Thats what I believe anyway?

The guy is an alcoholic. Very good chance he was saucing it up the entire time.

Their human too and the same bad habits that common man does.

If you're a legit alcoholic/junkie your getting your fix first thing in the morning and throughout the day. No way in hell you can concentrate and have focus needed to perform. **** thats why they have errand boys and "trainers" to handing out O.C. 160's like there skittles and so on.

I wrote the other day that I hope hes at bottom and Im sure Bill does as well. That's truly the only way he can be built back up.

The guy deserves an ass kicking but after that I think one last shot is deserved.

Wow, pretty impressive. I'm frankly surprised as I always look at Arizona as a secondary market with meh fan base. Maybe I was wrong.

I lived in Arizona for a while (and am still a resident technically) and the Phoenix-Tucson corridor is surprisingly decent in size, even if it's pretty barren between the two metros. I'd say the fandom for the Cards is possibly rooted in their recent success, but just judging by the amount of decals on cars, and Cardinals license plates, the fandom there is on par with what you'd see back east.

It certainly is more than I saw in San Diego for the Chargers.

Now, as for hockey? Yeah, not a great market for that.

No I meant the other way. To reach .217 he had to drink enough to reach that limit and to replace the alcohol that would have been processed out of his body during that 6 hours. So if it takes 16 drinks to reach .217 and he drank for 6 hours he may have drank 22 drinks. WTF.

Geez can somebody summarize this thread...so Michael Floyd is a functioning alcoholic??

I'm a little surprised that some are shocked that a 220 pound guy could drink 16 or so drinks over an 8 hour span..Many can do this easily and not be as bad as Floyd seemed. How about the Wade Boggs on that cross country flight...how many beers do he drink again? Yes, getting behind the wheel was beyond irresponsible...but drinking that much on occasion is really not as big a deal as some think.

Now everyone in the media will call for patriots to drop him...I don't understand why it takes a video to make things real for people

And with video becoming increasingly easy to manipulate as well...actually, it's already happened.

I get what you were saying now. Yikes!
