    Greetings all

So AB is gone and now the WR corps is back to what it was about a month ago. My question is, how good are Jakobi Meyers & N'Keal Harry and what can we expect out of them this year? Both rookies and both very young so they have a lot of room to grow, and Harry won't appear until about halfway through the season, just wondering how good these guys can be and how many targets and catches do you think they'll get?

Injuries will tell us as the season goes on. For example, if no one is injured it’s not even a sure thing that Harry will return from IR. It’s also possible that someone gets hurt and Meyers and Harry both play larger roles.

This team is better than the 2015 team, at least potentially, and the only thing that stopped that team was injuries. If people stay upright and playing, then this team can do serious damage, and yes, our WR corps is still one of the league's top units.

EDIT - More to the point of the OP, it depends on a few things, but both Meyers and Harry are physically built to be bruisers and tough playmakers in the playoffs. They'll likely be coming into stride around that time...maybe a bit like MM. That's my expectation anyway; low to moderate targets during the regular season and more opportunities in the playoffs.

I think Meyers will be really solid this year - 5-6 targets a game or so. Harry, less optimistic for this season...I imagine he can contribute on a handfuls if snaps per game but don’t think he has the required chemistry with Brady to be a regular receiver in 2019.

Tough to tell if our current cadre of WR's get dinged and are less effective, expect more if not expect less.

I do think that both Meyers and Harry will do well in the NFL and progress during this season.. both seem to be "keepers" and part of long term plans for this team..

Meyers is an NFL receiver, what told that to me was in the Pittsburgh game when he caught the ball in traffic, took a hit and got up and got more yards.

I thought it was gordon at first and then was surprised to see it was meyers.

Good. Harry was really going to shine this preseason saw that in Detroit but then got dinged up.

I think people saw him way too critical because he went up against the best secondary in football.

It probably won't be more than a complimentary role this year but even that can be very valuable.

I thought it was Gordon at first too. He has good size.

We also have Cameron Meredith on NFI list. This may be wishful thinking given his injury history, but he had 888 receiving yards for the Bears in 2016. This should be his 5th season, but he missed all of 2017 and only played 6 games for the Saints last year.

We signed him to a 2-year contract.

They need bodies so harry will be back this season. My only questions with harry since he came out of college is ability to get separation. I think he’s a little heavy. His high school highlights he was around 215 and you could see some quickness off the line and ability to get separation.

Don't think he ever will. He is a YAC and contested catch receiver. Like Boldin.

Naw he was faster in high school
even his freshman highlights at Arizona state. He looked like alshon Jeffery. He bulked up and got heavier. The guy’s gonna keep getting hurt if he always has a corner in his hip on a contested catch. The guy ran a 4.5 which is not slow.

Defensively, it looks affirmative. But I don't think you can make this claim yet offensively. I think people tend to forget how great that 2015 team was because of the dismal end to the regular season. They were 10-0 and they were making it look easy, especially offensively.

You could be right in time, Nik... I just think any real assessment is premature at the moment.

That’s not slow. So imagine if he was less heavy. Anyway let’s hope he’s back this year. We need bodies right now. At least another by bodied wr.
