I think the league chooses who appears at media day. They made a big deal two years ago of marshawn lynch.

Makes sense to me.

Lewis is a better player than Blount and more importantly bigger story for the media. Long gets the veteran fulfills his long dream treatment here. Finally, Butler seemed always to me like a person who doesn't search for the spotlight. I still vividly remember how he tried to avoid the sideline interview after his SB interception.

Now, I don't necessarily agree with all of the selected players for the media thingy but in the end who cares..

Yep, I rewatched SB49 last night and that always jumps out at me. Whatsherface had to almost tackle him to get him to do the interview. He definitely seems to prefer doing his talking on the field.

Yeah, the dude was clearly overwhelmed and that whole spectacle is on Page 1 of why media needs to back off and let the team celebrate for a few minutes at least.

Marshawn Lynch should show up on every media day from now on and when people ask why are you here and just says "I'm here so i don't get fined". Then they inform him he won't be fined and he retorts "I'm just here so i don't get fined". Security comes and ask him to leave to which he says "I'm here so i don't get fined".
