Meanwhile .. Gronk earns his 2.5M All-Pro incentive

Gee, and after the team pretended to be protecting Gronk for the postseason Sunday just to cheat him out of all that money, too. There's a lot of screwing-one-of-your-best-players preparation and effort gone to waste. Stupid Pats.

While I agree with your underlying assumption that the voters are often morons, but I doubt anyone is stupid enough to take anything from week 17 for anything.

They are. Their choices for FLEX and EDGE make me shake my head.

The AP got rid of the FB for FLEX to take into account that the FB no longer plays a prominent role in the modern NFL and that most teams play with more receivers than the two that are listed in the All-Pro team. What do the voters do? Use it as fallback blanket for whoever they couldn't slot in at RB. Last season David Johnson was tied for All-Pro at RB with Ezekiel Elliott. But at the same time also the All-Pro at FLEX. This year they voted in LeVeon Bell as FLEX All-Pro. Guys, teams aren't really playing two RBs at the same time.

The same year the AP also changed the naming of Defensive End to EDGE to separate pass-rushing 3-4 OLBs from true LBs playing in space since in the past gaudy sack numbers would lead to an overrepresentation of pass rushers at the expense of less flashy but still very good LBs. What do the voters do? Last season they vote in Von Miller at LB. And this season Chandler Jones.

I for one cannot wait to see what the Pats do with Gronk in the playoffs, or more accurately, what he does to the other guys! When he's on, he's virtually uncoverable. I also think it was brilliant strategy to give him no targets in the Jets game when they double-teamed him. That might lead opponents to think he can be stopped if you double-cover him. Hahaha...

I cannot wait for them to double cover Gronk and James White makes them pay for it.

But I thought bill/Kraft were evil and conspired to limit gronk vs the Jets so they didnt have to pay him? at least thats what the mediots told me...

im expecting Buffalo(first game)/Steelers gronk. Those games they had no answer for that matchup.

Brady to Gronk basically won us the steelers game. Brady went to it pretty much every play with success.

I'm concerned White won't be ready. Has he been practicing this week? I haven't been paying attention.
