Anyone else think the turf in Buffalo was horrible?

Didn't get to see the Carolina game, but there were multiple players from both team going down.....WR's from both teams, Ridley going down untouched (and fumbling), Amendola getting hurt......

I know Big Ben complained about it last year....they are the only team to use A-Turf-Titan, i think they put it in 2011.....

haven't paid attention to games at Ralph Wilson enough since then, but it sure looked like footing sucked week 1.....and it cost Amendola for multiple weeks

Well so glad we played them early there and not later in the season.

Yes, I noticed the same thing. I remember wondering if the Pats were using a different kind of cleat then the Bills. Not that what happened can be blamed on the turf. Both teams have to play on it and Pats are familiar with the surface. Maybe the Bills are more used to running on it because it is different type of artificial turf then Gillette Stadium. Chalk it up to home field advantage.

I think they still use Astroturf. They are the only team that hasn't switched from that crappy surface. Astroturf, unlike the new synthetic products, has no give. It is a horrible field to play on. Not to mention the fact that the field is literally a huge dome so that the rain can drain to the edges.

A few people mentioned it in the post-game thread. I aven't viewed the Panthers-Bills game yet but I am curious to see if players had similar problems.

Bills fans apparently noticed it going back a couple of years now:
This turf is horrid...

Last pre-season Ben Roethlisberger thought the turf at Buffalo was really bad, and responsible for a knee injury to guard David DeCastro; DeCastro was unable to play until December.

The turf at Buffalo is called A-Turf Titan; that is the only NFL field to use that type of surface.

It's probably going to take a (near-)disaster for one of their own players for them to change it.

Heck, BB enjoyed playing in the muck at Gillette; it wasn't until the 2006 cr*pfest against the JEST that TFB finally managed to convince them to switch to FieldTurf.
