He did get an elevation. Scored a td against Arizona. They then reverted him back to the PS. Maybe they hoped not too many teams noticed him rumbling into the endzone.

Wasn't the defensive TD scored by McMillan? I'm pretty sure McGrone was elevated but then put on the inactives list at game time.

No, but generally the player will offer his current team that opportunity. If the current team is willing to match the salary increase (which has to happen via promotion since there are limits on practice squad salaries now), then it’s just easier to not change teams at this point in the season.

That may not have happened here because McGrone is an Indianapolis native.

He was a 5th round pick. The vast majority of 5th rounders won't make it to a 2nd contract i believe. To call it a waste i think is an over reaction
