I think what happened to Mayo likely happened to Pete Carroll. You can in as head coach, have an idea of free agents you want to go after and the Krafts are like, wa waaaa, wait a min, hold on, we are not going to spend money like that, lets play out the year, see which players we want to keep, see if the rookie QB is good and then next year, we go after free agents. Can’t wait to see her explain why he never had his team ready to play for the entire season?

They also probably told Mayo that he needs a clean break from the Belichicks so Steve can't be the DC.
See how the chips are falling?
I saw people commenting on Twitter that she’s a known porn addict. I have no idea what that’s based on but take that info for what it’s worth.
I like her already

Not quite
Mayo was incompetent on all levels
Pete was competent but injuries, attitudes, and bad personnel leadership were the reasons for his downfall
Can't control the locker room, can't control his wife, and I bet he can't control his Shih Tzu either.
I'll grant you there's plenty of us who've had no real trouble keeping the folks who've been placed in our charge in an occupational environment under a reasonable amount of control. As for the second part, if everone here were forced to be completely honest about it; I doubt the number of guys that can 'control' their wives is a quarter the number of divorced schmucks who tried.
And don't even get me started on them yippee dogs. I got no problem controlling our Rottie and Staffy but one of our DIL's has got a fistful nasty little ankle biters, they're whack. And I can't punt them without creating the familial equivalent of an international incident.
Wait a second -- you're equating wives with yippee dogs?
Makes sense.ng
I know you are a friendly guy, so I assume it was for a friend. It was so random for people to bring it up so I had to go and investigate. Just for research purposes only.
No Tune, no I am most decidedly not equating wives with yippee dogs. Nor was I attempting to throw anyone else under the bus for it
I don't recall pissing in your cornflakes at any point, why you trying to get me killed?
Agreed he never should've had that in Mayo's contract. But had Mayo been honest with himself, he could have bowed out of taking the job knowing he wasn't ready -- no one forced him to do it. Kraft didn't screw Mayo (who gets paid regardless), he screwed the franchise and the fans.
There’s no way he gets another shot. He’s a toxic person.I'm sure he has his side of the Story
One day he will have a chance to tell it
If Mayo ever wants to coach in the NFL again he better keep his wife away from the keyboard
Would it? It's absolutely the right thing to do.What if Mayo claims Kraft said something like a win isn’t important here, or it’s not in the best interest of the team that we come out with a W.
That would be damning.
It would be, but if it was said and he reveals it, he will never be an NFL coach again. No one one touch him, for any position. No one hires known weasels. Besides, Kraft can say Jerod must have misunderstood me, or that he obviously didn't hear part of what I was saying, etc. He'll blow his future chances, and Kraft will walk away unscathed, unless Mayo recorded it, but that's illegal in Massachusetts. Depending on intent, that kind of recording could bring a felony charge. What if Mayo claims Kraft said something like a win isn’t important here, or it’s not in the best interest of the team that we come out with a W.

Kraft made a call to Optum, team's largest sponsorYou think he who was a pro football player, was an exec at a large co hired off the street,
Played in only 1 SB (lost to Giants)won how ever many superbowl,
Like Flores? Doesn't matter...they won the last game of the season. It would be, but if it was said and he reveals it, he will never be an NFL coach again. No one one touch him, for any position.
