I was reading that the week before Tom Brady was to have his first NFL start, a couple of veteran players purposefully ran off their mouth dissing Manning and the 2-0 Colts. They did this so the media would leave the backup QB alone and instead focus on them.

It worked, Tom was pretty much left alone, and the media focused on how much these two players were morons.

Maybe Igor is pulling the same trick to get the media onto him and away from Billy Volek.

Nah, Igor doesn't seem that smart. The Pats players had a week to plan what they were doing. Igor was running his yap on his way off the field. Plus, if he thinks the Pats D is going to run after him instead of feasting on Billy or Philly, he is in for a rude awakening!
