Funny thing about Cinco de Mayo is that it is a massive party/drinking day for college students.
This was ramped up by the liquor companies commercials ...
Captain Morgan and of course tequila and fruit infused tequila from a spigot jar ... panty droppers.

I know this for fact .... older people like St. Patricks day ... Cinco de Mayo means nothing to them.
Many Mexicans could care less it is not the correct day.

Funny thing about Cinco de Mayo is that it is a massive party/drinking day for college students.

Sadly, the student government at my alma mater disapproves of celebrating Cinco de Mayo by a certain "privileged" group due to "cultural appropriation" and attempted to have all "appropriators" who attended a party expelled.
Earlier in that school year the same student government attempted to expel anyone from that same subset of "privileged" who dressed like blinged-out rappers on Halloween.
