The Enquirer learned multiple members of the Cincinnati Bengals organization, including coaches and key front office personnel learned along with the rest of the nation that head coach Marvin Lewis had decided to not enter contract negotiations to coach the team in 2018.

The Bengals offered no comment on the news.

I think it is hilarious that after all of those years of mediocrity and lack of progress Marvin Lewis was never fired. Instead he chose to leave.

A few good teams in Cincy over the recent years but they were seemingly always undisciplined. First rule of NFL fight club, never hurt your own cause especially in the playoffs. Lewis never learned to look both ways before he crossed the street when it came to this first rule.
