We await Goodell's fair and objective sentencing

Didn't Dungy and Polian meet with the Philly DA before the season and were "assurd" that Harrison was "definitely not a suspect"? I think this whole thing stinks. If Dungy knew that Harrison was guilty and he knew of or played part in a deal with the Colts and the Philly DA to postpone charges until after the season, he is as big a scumbag as he makes Belichick out to be and a hypocrite to the utmost degree. I know it is wrong to question Saint Dungy's morality, but it does look really shady on its face.

If Dungy claims to be a moral person and he put his reputation on the line proclaiming Harrison's innocence if he knew he was the primary suspect in shooting child and was willing to allow him to play the season when a guy like Pacman gets suspended just for being charged with a crime where he didn't even pull the trigger, what kind of person is he?

Yes, I know I am jumping to a lot of conclusions without the facts being in. Harrison could be innocent and not even charged with a crime. Dungy and the Colts may have been told that Harrison really wasn't suspect. There may never been any deal to postpone the charges and the DA decided to wait for the season to end on her own. But if the Colts and Dungy did know before the season that Harrison was the primary suspect in the case and told the press otherwise and/or they played a part in delaying charges until after the season, they do need to be held accountable at least by the media.

LOL Dungy will give him some pointers-Quiet Strength 101

Didn't Dungy say he is interested in working with troubled youth and curbing urban violence? He could start with his own roster.

Rest assured. SI, ESPN and the other sports 'journalists' will investigate this thoroughly and leave no source unturned.

Yeah, me too. I sure they will get around to it when they are done with their endless 24 hours a day bashing of Brett Favre.

But he's a great and classy guy!! They need to stop wasting time with him and go after the REAL scumbags that commit hideous acts such as running up the score on poor innocent teams!!

Yeah, aiming a camera at someone is much worse than aiming a gun.....

Sad day for the Colts. Sad day for the NFL. Sad day for Harrison, who shouldn't be cut any slack because of his high profile.

That said, let's not gloat about it on this Board. It's not classy. Just because most Colts fans and the media who lionize Peyton are xxxxxxbags doesn't mean we have to be too.

They are not going to release him, he has trade value - So until that is done they are on the hook for his pay.

Oh, and Goodell better punish accordingly.

Trade value?

Even if he is cleared of this, he is now #3 wide receiver talent at a #1 WR price tag, with no intangibles like special teams ability or even veteran leadership (he is known for being a quiet loner).

He would not net a 2nd day pick in my opinion, because no team would want him under his current contract.

That's true for sure, but it's hard not to feel this way after seeing Dungy sainted right in the middle of BB and the Pats being made to look like the shame of the NFL. All those articles about Good (Colts) vs Evil (Pats) LOL. It was sickening, and probably still pretty fresh in our minds too.

lol, so two days after the colts' season ended eh???

That could well be deliberate, and not even just to avoid a PR backlash. When you have highly seasonal work, the judicial system often tries to accomodate your employment schedule. I think that's true for football stars and low-end laborers alike.

It's the same principle as Jamal Lewis serving his jail time in the off-season, or Tank Johnson being allowed to travel for work to play in the postseason. And Harrison hasn't even been convicted of anything yet.

My point is that Marvin Harrison has value (Forget the legal troubles) - not at his current level of pay and I have no idea what the trade would be (and really don't care), but he has value.

You say he would not net a 2nd day pick - So he's not even worth a 7th round pick? That's nonsense.

The news station video press conference quality is extremely ****ty. Can anyone else make out what she is saying?

"unable to proceed with charges" and "not a credible witness".

Then you agree with me. If he doesn't agree to tear up his contract, he would not have value. If he does, then sure.

For him it would be logical to refuse a contract restructuring from the Colts and force the Colts to cut him, then he could look for the very best situation /salary for him rather than being told by the Colts where to go and have the trade dependent on a tiny renegotiated salary.

some amazing commetns from that colt 18-88 site:

Tom Brady won the two most undeserving Super Bowl MVP awards of all time.

22.) Matt Cassell has yet to start for any team since he was in high school.

Cold Hard Football Facts bile-filled support

27.) The media celebration of Tom's illegitimate kid that he's not even man enough to be there for.

28.) The way they betrayed the very Jedi that fought so hard to defend their Republic.--i think they got this backwards

46.) Willie McGinest faked an injury, changing the course of the history. He laughed about it later.

50.) I can't even have a brewsky without thinking about the Pats.

51.) It was funny the first time they threw a touchdown to Vrabel. Now it is just ridiculous.

65.) Ty Law made a career out of playing the Colts.---whose fault is that?
