I imagine this is gonna shake up the AFC playoff picture

The NFL does not need more poor QB play. It got poorer today. Shame to see talented young guys that will be there to hopefully carry the torch go down.

I felt horrible for Carr because he was having a great season and looked to be a great kid...just hate to see your QB go down, it reminds me of Brady in the 08 season...

Same thing for Marcus, horrible injury.

Lastly I think it's time for RG3 to retire, he has suffered another concussion this season, he had multiple. Multiple concussions can really impact you later in life.

What a rough christmas eve for those guys. Just terrible. Oakland can still run the ball and Denver is not good against the run, so I expect a competitive game for them next week.

The Pats should be favored to make the SB from the AFC. The NFC is up for grabs. I could see Dallas, GB or Atlanta making it.

Sucks for the NFL.

Don't often see 2 teams vying for the playoffs so late in the year have their seasons so dramatically altered by an injury. It's especially hard for either team to lose the shot to make a playoff run with their promising young QB still under a rookie deal.

Feel bad for Derek Carr. He basically lifted the Raiders from obscurity to playoff contention.

I don't like the Raiders fanbase, but I do feel bad for their QB. He didn't deserve to end his season that way.

This sucks....I think it really is terrible for both of them. The NFL needs guys like this. Really puts a damper on the playoffs IMHO.

Was in SF not too long ago and got to meet Carr, really good guy and much more approachable than some of others out there.

For me it's always about HFA. I too hate to see guys go down but that happens in this game. So without Carr the Raiders can still run as has been mentioned and Denver is weak with the run so WE, the Pats have to beat Miami, that's the best way to HFA

Yea but I don't have the same mentality towards other teams i could never be satisfied seeing any human getting hurt on TV even if some fans can be sick but there are certain players in the NFL I would find having a hard time having sympathy for since there are dirty players in this league and some are familiar to us Pats fans
