Stone how you feel because in another thread he's STILL thinking that RT is our biggest weakness and need......and I can predict we won't see a comment of his on this thread. Way too positive about CannonThe article brought out how Cannon has long arms and that he wasn't using them to his advantage under Googs. Now Scar has reminded him of that and now he's a good player a remarkable turn around. Cannon now looks like Bruce Armstrong in pass protection can't believe my own eyes.
The "Genius of Scar" mantra doesn't mesh so well last week given the semi beating Brady took forcing him into Wheels Brady mode....but yes....Cannon was not the reason Brady was getting popped every other pass.
Maybe Buffalo's pass rush looked so lethal to me was because NE's pass rush looked so feeble. No genius work on that side of the ball....just trades

Didn't see this one coming!
Cannon's extension was one of the least popular contracts I can remember. Now it looks like an incredibly savvy move. May the Collins trade take the same path!
Hey question for you people that wanted Cannon gone because it saved $3m on the cap. Do you still feel that way?
No. This is a wonderful development. I was among those advocating for a trade or early round draft pick to improve the depth at tackle, especially last season when we saw such a breakdown on the OL and a patchwork of guys out of position.
One thing I will say is that Vollmer's injury - and I hope he makes it back - was a critical part of Cannon's emergence. The reps, the timing with his line mates, the ownership of the position, wouldn't have happened had Cannon not be thrust into his current role. I'm thrilled for him and the team.
In Scar we trust.
Let's wait and see if Scar can work another magic transformation.Extend the BEAST!!
And please cut Waddle next year ... waste of cap

I owe Mr. Cannon an apology. His turnaround has been nothing short of remarkable and yes, I was wrong about him. Carry on your fine season, Sir.
I don't feel bad for wanting Cannon gone based on his play in '14 and '15. He wasn't worth having on the team the way he was playing - and not just for the $3m savings, but at all. Scarnecchia's belief that he could fix him is probably the only reason he still has a job in NE. There certainly wasn't anything demonstrable on the field that would justify his roster spot, let alone his salary. That being said of course I'm glad BB/DS didn't bail on him because he's been as good or better than we could've expected of any other Vollmer substitute.Hey question for you people that wanted Cannon gone because it saved $3m on the cap.
