Manute Bol passed away on Saturday at the age of 47. He had Stevens-Johnson syndrome, which is a painful skin disease. I remember him as a pretty decent shot blocker and rebounder. I was always afraid one of his legs would snap. I laughed when he attempted to play hockey. This is sad news. Here he is compared to Spud Webb.

this guy did so much for charity and never forgot his roots. he will be sorely missed by so many people and never forgotten by the people he touched. rip manute. if there is a heaven you are surely in it.

Honestly, I never heard of him before yesterday. May he R.I.P. However, I am compelled to say that he looks like a tree in that picture.

Fun times watching him in his year with the Gulls. RIP big guy.
