It's probably been said a million times, and if there's another dedicated thread to this topic (there most likely is) then I'm sorry for adding another thread to the masses.

But I have to say, god ******* damn, it feels good having Tom Brady back.

I don't think I appreciated him more than I did when, you know, that incident happened in Week 1 last year. (Hold on, I need to pull a Bill Simmons and light myself on fire for reminding myself of that.) Don't get me wrong, Matt Cassel's valiant effort last season was an awesome thing to behold, but with him at the helm we were just another good AFC team. With Brady, there is a whole different swagger to the team. Every game you feel like you're going to see something special happen, at least I do. As long as he's around, I feel like the Patriots can and will beat anybody they face and win the Super Bowl.

I missed that feeling last season. It was nice to be humbled and take nothing for granted, cheering for a team as it clawed through every attempt to win. But damn, I never felt this way even watching Bledsoe in his prime. Amazing that a year ago I was lamenting a season without Brady, and how the time has passed since then.

All the talk around tonight's game is about the quarterback showdown between Brady and Brees, two of the best in the game. I missed that feeling, that excitement, that anticipation. I'm glad to have it back, and I'll savor every moment more than ever.

Thank you Tom Brady for your continued effort. Go kick some ass tonight, Pats!!!

(Am I fired up for gametime? Yes. Yes, I am. Can't wait. Get to 8:30 already, d%#*!@t.)

Oh, he'll definitely be honored when his playing career is done. But let's perish the thought! We still have a lot of football until that time, and thank goodness for that.

I will explode in my pants if we come out with a win tonight. People think the Saints will dominate, which is funny because the Pats don't get blown out. Tonight the Aints face a real team.

Haha, aint that the truth.

I said in another thread that the Saints fans reminded me of the Chargers fans leading up to the 2006 playoff game against the Pats. This game is giving me a similar vibe, only it's the regular season.

Re: Man, I'm glad Brady's back.

I really enjoyed being the underdog in virtually every game last year, and watching Cassel blossom into a legit NFL QB was definitely something special. He played with a whole lot of heart last year and did a fantastic job keeping us in contention until the very end.

But there's nothing like having Tom in there. The last few games, he's looked spectacular.

I don't know how to describe it, but there's nothing like that feeling in your gut when there's two minutes left in the game, and the cameras all turn to Tom, and you can see the confidence in his eyes, you watch him calmly scan the defense, and you get that feeling that something great is about to happen.

I haven't had a feeling like that since watching Michael Jordan in his prime, or yes, Derek Jeter. Tom is that special an athlete.

Look at Favre (okay he screwed us in 2002 and 2008 and he is a drama queen). Lord Favre is having a huge season at age 40. If Tom plays that long we have eight more years of him at the helm. That's time enough for three more rings.

Both directions? I hope there's a bomb squad around

After a slow start Brady is having an mvp season. The man is coming off of major surgery, yet you would never know it.
