Mallett already comparing himself to Brady

I hate to break it to you guys but Brees has already passed Brady in Yards.

I'm not sure "already" is really the word you're looking for, given that there's only a difference between them of 7 games played in the regular season.

brees is a HOFer IMO

not just because of the ring and the stats, but as much as i thought his comments about san diego were ****-ish, when he was leaving via free agency, the guy pretty much helped rejuvenate a devastated city and community

i think that's going to mean alot to the voters
Does Canton admit on community relations and general goodwill now as opposed to football credentials?

I'm not so sure Brees CV is HOF caliber yet.. but there's every chance it may be by the time his career winds down.

All that a side I do agree with your acknowledgement of what he's done for New Orleans.

i'm assuming he's going to keep putting up the type of stats he has thus far or at least near to them.

Hello Pat fans. I am new to this board, I am a Arkansas Season ticket holder and have seen every game Mallett has played for the Hogs. Let be first to say you got a great one in Mallett, he is by far the best signal caller EVER at Arkansas, that includes Joe Ferguson in case you are wondering.

I am not aware ofr any "off the field" issues with Mallett, he did have one public in-tox his first year at Arkansas. That was three years ago. His arm is ,well just incredible. I have always been a Packer fan and I can tell you he can make any throw Favre ever made. He has that kind of arm. If you would like to ask me anything please fire away.

Hi Skip. My question is, who is Joe Ferguson?

The Best thing that can happen is the Mallet is so good that the Pats offer Brady a trade to SF for his last couple of years so he can play near his family, and grab a handful of draft picks and/or players.

Let's hope Skip is right about him. What's the point of hoping anything else?

The last Texas born QB from Arkansas an NFL team thought was worth a 3rd round draft pick. That was decades ago and the team was Buffalo. He was Jim Kelley's predecessor. And a Bill's fan local legend of sorts, think Grogan here or Kosar in Cleveland. If Mallett is anywhere near as good he won't be starting here anytime soon. If he's exponentially better he may start somewhere someday.

The best thing that can happen is the Mallett looks so good in pre season play that some desperate QB'less GM offers Bill a 1st for him in 2012 or by 2013.

Only in NE do you find fans so anxious to move on to the next great thing that visions of trading away the greatest thing that ever happened to them are always lurking...

Bah what's wrong with this guy. Dolphins hate? C'mon man, you are a Patriot now. Step up to the jets hate with the rest of us.

We'll get around to 'phins hate when they prove they are relevant.

Other than Maybin, who's been terrible in both the 3-4 and 4-3 fronts, I don't see where these graveyard players were much, if any, worse than TBC, in terms of production.

But not better than TBC right now (although some of them may develop), and I think that is the point. Perhaps not worth a second round draft pick in preference to the players that we took in the second round the last two years. This does not prove anything about the players we declined to take this year, but it is something to think about.

Anyone else find the "jive" in this kids voice a little annoying?

Did he grow up in "Da Hood" or something?

Using that argument, teams should never draft any position that takes time to develop, and BB should be flogged for drafting Mallett when he's already got Brady and Hoyer. I just don't buy into that sort of theory when you've got a positional problem. When you've got a weakness, you address it. In this case, the Patriots have not been able to successfully address the OLB situation via free agency in recent years, so other avenues need to be taken.

Jets didn't tell him they were going trade up for him and then traded up and drafted a running back that was a mega reach.

His 'phins hate is personal not AFCE rival based, just like Dez Bryant 'phins hate is personal.

Wow, guys. Lighten up! Joke meter on the fritz? You can't tell me you really thought there was some seriousness to that post. :singing:

Can't say it has ever occurred to me that my humor is at all subtle, before now.

Never joke about a Patriot fans hatred for the Dooshfins. It's serious buisness.

I like the Doofins fight song...the one they stole from the Houston Oilers...

Doofins...Miami Doofins

the greatest team that never wins a thing

Doofins..Miami Doofins

Oh...IT'S TOO BAD THAT DAN WON'T GET HIS RING

(THE HATE RUNS STRONG IN YOUNG SKYJOKER...)

You forgot to mention that it's sung to the Flinstones Tune.

the thing is...I hate the Phins as in over the years enemy team hate...I hate the Rats because that entire organization is a blot on all sports in particular and the whole world in general.
