just saw on espnews that he's stayin at the ohio state
definitely bad news for the number seven pick
i admittedly don't know much about him, but was starting to do some research as we might have looked his way if we let asante go

Gholston is coming out, though. I guess the chance to get embarassed again in the National Championship game was too much for Jenkins to pass up.

Jenkins is a young kid. 3RD year Jr. Don't think he's 21 yet. Not a bad move. Maybe, he wants to finish school.

when you are a guaranteed first round pick, it's prob best to come out

In terms of money, you're probably right. But there are other priorities in life besides money. Sounds like a young kid, he might need the seasoning of an extra year, and come out an even better player. It does suck though that he won't be in the draft pool the one year the Pats have a high pick.

You can finish school anytime. How often to you get a chance at a top 10 pick and $15m guaranteed? Dumb move. How much college life does one need?

Hmm.. Yet, by staying in school, he can get his degree and probably go in the top 5 instead of top 7.

Not a dumb move at all. Sorry.

If he was already top 10, seems like quite a risk he's taking of injury or a little dropoff in performance.

You can't get a degree after you leave college? Sorry - that's not true. If he's serious about his degree - he'd finish it in the offseason and take an MBA or something after that. If he's not serious about his degree, he should come out regardless about his draft position.

And what are the chances of improving on his draft position when he's already considered top 10? Not great, imo.
