It won’t at all. Pete caroll’s decision to throw the ball in the super bowl tore his team apart. It may not be that bad with NE but it certainly won’t blow over. The players feel that Butler was SCREWED.
Did they tell you that?

There is some reason why the Pats wont give Butler a contract.

One big factor we have to at least wonder:

What will Kraft’s response be to this situation?

Considering the Patriots are his baby, and considering he adores Brady "like a son" and has given him power to decide his own future over the input/objections of his head coach, and considering this was a prideful blunder of epic proportions on Bill's part that not one pundit can even begin to defend, we can assume Kraft's as mad as the rest of team must be. But he'll be diplomatic--it's in the past now and what can be done in hindsight?

Your arguments have been really bad, and you've been making things up to fit your narrative. You should either eat some crow or step away.

No, they really haven't.

Feel free to step away yourself.

Sorry sir, but its time for YOU to start defending the choice that MAY have cost the time the title.

Yes, Butler being dusted all over the field this postseason and then being schemed out of a SB gameplan, means his lack of playing in the SB on Sunday cost this team a title.

LMAO

One of the dumbest comments possible. A dwarf CB is not matching up 1:1 in man on 6'3 or 6'4 WRs.

Didn't we learn that lesson in SB 49?

QuantumMechanic, Ivan, AndyJohnson.

You spent your time in several threads, on the losing side of this argument and you had the gall to call all of us who “dared” go against Belichick fools.

Come get the crow.

James White just liked Butler's post also....

Holy smoke. Um... This is going to make that meeting over the tension all the more awkward now. I'm shocked Tom went on and co-signed Malcolm's version of the events over the head of his coach. He must be absolutely livid with Bill to do that.
this is actually a non issue.. (this post I mean) It does not say anything bad about Bill or disagree with him. He just thanks everybody.. nothing to see here. Though Belichick is an idiot though.

You should be stunned because he didn’t. He liked the post of a teammate thanking the fans and saying goodbye.

It means he agrees with he essence of his statement, which is that Butler did nothing wrong. ergo, belichick screwed butler.

I just don’t think there’s any speculation to be had on this one. This is just one teammate showing love and appreciation to another teammate.

You could certainly speculate off of that, but I wouldn't be one doing that. I'm just noting that Butler's getting supported after putting out his statement.

My goodness...So Brady likes the guy's fairwell address and somehow that means Brady is at odds with BB?

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My god.

Dear Millennials: Please get to colleges and get real, live corporate world experience in some fashion.

Thank you,

Well I bet brady would have loved to have seen butler in uniform and at corner. Belichick decided to play bademosi instead.

I want to talk more about Tom liking this post. Way to be a good sport, giving props to a former teammate.

Is there one person who is or should be siding with BB?
I bet even Linda Holiday is asking BB whey Butler didn't play!

Will the Belichick defense crew now throw Brady under the bus? Clearly Brady must not have the best interests of the team in mind.

Malcolm Butler issues statement: 'I would never do anything to hurt my team's chances of winning'

So it is exactly as Belichick said. Butler didn't do anything shady as Andy Johnson and robertweather repeatedly insinuated. Belichick also said was not related to misconduct.

So basically Belichick didn't like Butler's play on the field , probably since before SuperBowl, and benched him 5 minutes before the game started , and the secondary found out right before kick off.

...and the Patriots lost because their defense could not generate 1 punt all game long

It may be worse. Carroll had a momentary lapse.

I'm shocked Tom went on and co-signed Malcolm's version of the events over the head of his coach
I'm pissed at Belichick but How is this above statement true? He liked a post that does not contradict what Belichick said?
