He certainly smart and successful enough to make the jump to HC, and he's around the right age (42). In my opinion he's not, at this point, polished enough as an NFL front-man. That might come soon though.

In all fairness, Belichick really isn't either.

Glad to see that Patricia is getting the adulation he deserves... the last two games were masterfully planned and executed, the defensive rotation is impressive and while we hear how great the Denver front 7 is, this front 7 has become scary good..

About a month ago this board was rife with comments with McClellin scares me!! Or who is Van Noy?? How will this team do without the greatest, most athletic LB or all time Jamie Collins?? Who will rush the passer??

There are so many subtleties to this D, sometimes using Chung as a linebacker.. using Chris Long in coverage.. guys like Vincent Valentine, Vincent who?? Malcolm Brown maturing as a player. The Alan Branch reclamation project is moving along nicely. Eric Rowe is not the greatest, but better than many. Malcolm Butler playing out of his mind. McCourty doing his job. etc. etc. etc. This is the defense that many of us watched BB and the rest of the brain trust develop, lots of role players that can compliment each other in various schemes.. it is all good folks.
