Mac Not Happy With the Groceries

Felger thinks Mac could be traded by the deadline and maybe for Kirk Cousins. Trading Mac for a rental would be quite a statement to send to your first round pick about what the team thinks of him. I can’t see the Krafts picking up that kind of a contract either even if it is just a rental, the Vikings would have to eat a lot of it. Cousins would make the offense watchable at least.

A trade could happen though. I think if Mac sits starting this week he is on the block.
Mac is a “Dome QB” in need of a Dome so he should love it. But Cousins is also a “Dome QB” who’d be arriving just in time for “wintah”. Keep Mac miserable just in case of an Indian Summer day spoiling a cold/windy December game in Foxboro with Cousins blowing our chances of getting a top QB in the draft with a win… With our luck lately, why risk it…

I’m thinking a southern team could be a better fit for him. He’s not a cold weather guy and you need to be a cold weather guy in this division.

He’s not wrong. The off-season moves by Bill the last two years were amateurish. He’s been set up to fail.

However, Mac hasn’t worked on getting himself any better since being drafted.
Could absolutely not agree more with him….at least in BOB system thus far….JuJu has been a BUST….Thornton will never stay healthy….Devante is overrated and over paid….. and the offense of wine is a train wreck… Mac is not wrong. While that having been said, Mac does not appear to be putting the time in with these receivers to synchronize the passing plays to as close to perfection as possible each week… At this point, if you are not on the same page with your receiver, as a quarterback… that’s on you… Also, you need to recognize where you are as a quarterback, and not try to accomplish things your arm cannot do…… Mac is a very good game manager I would think… But he’s not a top elite player, arm, strength, wise who can just sling a ball in there at Will… I don’t think he gets that yet.

Anyways, anytime, they say an anonymous source… You can take that with a grain of salt… I don’t think he would be that crass either… But again, based on his offensive line and wide receiver, ability to separate and get open… He’s not really wrong

You realize he has failed with every nfl qb he worked with who isn’t josh Allen right?
He got Jones playing good football last season, brung them to the second round of the playoffs. BB has done nothing with any other QB named The GOAT.

You still get those windy and heavy rain days down here in the south. From what I’ve seen with this guy his passing is “gone with the wind” over 10 mph…

Well, he wasn’t a dome quarterback at Arkansas, and lead them to a national championship… It all comes down to offensive line and weapons available… And that breeds confidence… Since he has gotten here, it has been a **** show… That’s just the facts… he has not helped himself by trying to do things that are above his level, of course… Like trying to force a ball quickly into a tight space… Or throwing across the field… But you take Mac and draft him into San Francisco, in place of Purdy… And he would’ve been extremely successful… Just my opinion

It could be anyone or just someone the writer made up. There's no way to verify it.

And I mean, don't trust anonymous sources in general not just in this case.
Yes… Anytime they say anonymous sources without a name attached… Don’t buy it

I figured out the cheat code for journalists

Just get any dumb idiot to physically stand a couple feet from Mac Jones, then you can say "I have a source who's very close to Mac Jones that says this all started when Mac banged Bill's chick Linda"
Exactly…… but generally…. it is anonymous source… That no one has ever met or seen… Media loves to create controversy and website hits

No doubt he’s missing those Alabama wide receivers but he’s in no way hitting long passes as he was in college and his accuracy is definitely not what it was. I agree he would have/would be a much better QB had SF not got cold feet and picked the shiny object in their eyes (Lance). They screwed the pooch with both those guys and Purdy “Mr Irrelevance” is starting to remind folks of a 6th rounder we had that turned out ok”!

The whole team is ****ing ****.
Post of the week on this topic.

#1 in fairness to Mac we are being told there is an anonymous SOURCE reporting this…..does anyone remember John Tommashole that I’m surprised is still reporting in Boston and was not found beaten up after the atrocities HE created in 07’?!

Let’s get a NAME for the source or its MEDIA BULL****!!!!!

Brady wasn't a "cold-weather guy," I think that aspect is overstated. These players are young, they have plenty of high-tech ways to keep warm and unlike you and me they can hop a flight pretty much anytime to sun & sand.

He became one though. Proved he can play in it. Mac’s last really cold game was the 47-17 debacle in Buffalo…

If Lance got back a 4 what could Mac get us in a trade?

Mac was in a dome versus the Cowboys, did he look good?

You'll have a hard time convincing me cold weather had anything to do with that. Besides, Mac didn't play defense.

Brady and Josh were very smart in setting up teams to attack their weaknesses and systematically break them down and get them off balance as the game went on. It also helped that they still had weapons like Gronk, Edelman, Moss, Welker etc that you could routinely rely on

It also helped that Brady threw the ball to open receivers. Unique concept.

It's a team game, and I've been told QB's are the most important position in football.

You can get by with simply "good" QB play, but you can't win anything with outright "bad" QB play.

And I've said this since Al Gore invented the interwebs back in the early 90's when I was using dial up internet to log onto boston.com/sports/forums... despite you wanting to lie and misrepresent things I've said over the years. You're not fooling anyone.

Really? I recall you banging your head for years about Blake Bortles, Case Keenum, Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, the 80s Redskins etc. The QB is just one of the 53, teams win all the time with subpar QB play and it’s all about the 53 and the coaching staff.

Now it’s all on Mac and you’ve 180’d on years of posts.
