Mac Not Happy With the Groceries

Let's say they are true. Why are these execs coming out now to say it?

Why is Breer, Curran and others piling on it now? This is a rhetorical question, but I've seen the pattern with them being too scared to talk about this until the timing is right with loses piling up.
They're reporters. Execs are coming to them because the Patriots have won so much. It's pretty easy to figure this out.

What about Matt Cassell? 3-1 with Jacoby Brisset and a gimpy Jimmy G.
Your absolutely correct. Although Cassell had Wes and randy, Jimmy had Jules and gronk, ammendola. Mac has some replacement players.

You made the post, not me.

He got a contract from his play last season.
He shouldn’t have. Are you honestly telling me based upon Daniel Jones, you think Daboll did a tremendous job with him to the “qb whisperer” level?
So we are clear, he passed for 3205 and 15 tds (Mac jones has 2997 and 15 in 2 fewer games) and has 177 yards per game, 2 TDS and 6 picks this year.

All I'm saying is compared to DJs previous seasons he became a solid QB last season. That ultimately was why the Maras decided to pay him..

Other than smith. They all are busts.

For some reason they never figured out how to use smith
Smith should own some of that too. Idk if it was the pressure of living up to the contract but his time here was not good.

Uh-huh. All these guys doing better elsewhere. Gee, I wonder why
They are? That's interesting

N'Keal Harry: has played played exactly zero snaps this season. He also only played one season with Jones. He played like crap last year in Chicago too.

Mohammad Sanu. Only played with Brady as a Patriot. He put up 207 yards with us. Hasn't put up that many in a season since.

Antonio Brown played one game with us. He played lights out. He played as good as he ever has here and then with the Bucs. He currently isn't even in the league.

Devin Asiasi has 5 total yards since leaving the Patriots

Dalton Keene has been a practice squad player since leaving the Patriots.

Thornton and Henry are still here.

The only guy on that list who is still playing at a decentish level right now on another team is Jonnu Smith. And that's mostly just because he's getting way more targets. He's projected to get like 96 targets on the year right now. He never got close to that in New England.

So I really don't know how you came to the conclusion that "all these guys are doing better elsewhere". And based on the implication, it's even funnier since some of them didn't even play with the person I assume you are trying to take a shot at

You called Daboll a QB whisperer and I said he has only done well with Allen.
You are pumping Daboll as doing one of the best jobs in all of football with Daniel jones. It ludicrous.
His numbers were barely better than the rest of his less than mediocre career with the exception of a low int total and this year he is an int machine.

I didn't write that, someone else claimed that

You're the one who said they did better after leaving the Patriots. That's not in the post you quoted at all

The point of the post was they were all busts.
But yet you say Jonnu Smith is having some success elsewhere. He was here WITH Josh McDaniels, not only Matt Patricia. Yet he goes elsewhere -- to a non-passing offense -- and does well. It's either the system or the QB then. But McDaniels didn't seem to forget how to run an offense overnight, did he?

Anyway, it's pretty clear you can only find a supporting cast in FA. No one is letting go of their #1 receivers anymore. We just have to hope that Cincy is going to let Tee Higgins go, but the way they're going with losing games, it looks like they may actually consider trading him before the deadline.

We can't rely on FA though. It's simply not the way to go any more.

JuJu: 3.4 yards per target

JuJu, Jonnu, Sanu, Agholor - 4 players who came to the brilliant NE system and failed miserably. Jonnu and Agholor better now elsewhere.

Bill overpays and then has zero idea how to get the most out of them. It really was all Brady. He was the genius all along. Bill, Jawsh, BOB, Weis, all face planting without TB12.
I think it’s pretty clear that Mac Jones makes ok receiver look garbage.

Another game where Meyers looks real good and Juju looks like cooked goods.

Another huge bill miscue. You have a guy on your roster who puts up 800 yards a year who gets the offense and has chemistry with the QB.

But lets give the same money to the guy with bum knees.

And don't say Meyers wouldn't perform here. He did in the cam Newton year and even last year.

Yes, but Bill let them all go, not just one or two, and all of them were better than every player in your post and none were traded. And Bill, the highest paid man at his position, did it for nothing more than money and got nothing in return. I know that all teams let players go but not as many, especially lately.

This right here. Bill could've easily paid Meyers and Hopkins. Those were reasonable deals.

He just whiffed or didn't want guys unless they came on his terms.

You obviously can't pay everyone. So a team like the chiefs with mahomes has to make tough decisions. Bill has a QB on a rookie deal and the most capspace in the league again in 2024.

And not a single player even worth extending.

Lol imagine if the Pats go to Vegas this weekend for the game and just leave Mac there.
LOL that would be something wouldn't it.. he'd probably beg Josh to keep him there. I'll say Jakobi what a WR he is. He was the only hope we had last season offensively.
