Thought he would fetch a 5th but it’s fine. At least you got something, and you clear a few million in cap space off your books and set team expectations early on that Mac is not in the team’s plans.

For Mac, it’s a great situation too. Jacksonville is his home town. Trevor Lawrence plays a similar style to him and hasn’t really lit the world on fire, and he also gets hurt somewhat often so Mac will get opportunities.

Yes, he easily would’ve won had they not gone on their now annual December slide and losing the #1 seed. It’s hard to believe, but they had the best record in the AFC going into the last quarter of that season.

Trey Lance gets a 4th when he did absolutely nothing.

I was hoping Mac went to a team where he could compete.

Didn't hate the kid, but he was a long way from being able to quarterback this franchise, and at least some part of that was the raw deal he got here. Wish him good luck, except against the Pats.

At least the most costly course of action is off the table at QB. Zappe is still here, though.

I know what you mean, but Tebow never was repeatedly fined for cheap shots on other players. Mac should concentrate on being a backup.
