Mac as 2024 Pats QB still possible

Well he can't say "Mac sucks and I can't wait to deal him" and watch his already low value plummet to zero value. He has to build him up in order to get anything for him.

this was posted on a german NFL site
it basically means that the team knows Jones acts as a Diva and they don't want to play with him anymore, source within the pats organization

If Mayo can somehow turn Mac around and wind the clock back to the first half of 2021, I’m all in favor of it.

Does he own a DeLorean?

I've said this before and I'll say it again - if Kraft forced Mac on BB, why wouldn't he do the same to Mayo especially if he's convinced BB sandbagged Mac?

Mac being at the conference was no accident.

He sure as hell isn't going to say he sucks, no one likes him, we'll try and dump him if they want to get anything in a trade then again, he might stick around as depth.

I think with a new coach and hopefully some improvement in the offense that would kinda look like a reset and new environment for Mac but what if the rookie QB is ready faster than expected and then you have to promote him and bench Mac again

Nah, no more drama.

Vets like Flacco and Dalton deal much better with this situation. Let Mac cry somewhere else.

He is in his 4th year, if he suddenly starts playing well early in the season you may have a QB controversy for nothing with a rookie head coach, knowing he is not the answer so just move on and trade him for whatever you can get.

Because it didn’t work the first time, why would Mac being forced a second time work?

Perhaps that why Kraft fired Belichick.
So why take the same approach with a new HC? I doubt Mac sucked squarely because of Bill.

I doubt it too.

I'm saying, the owner's convinced that Mac's the guy, so Mac's the guy until even Bob Kraft figures it out.

God help us all if he’s convinced Mac’s the guy.

I thought the goal was to get people to want to watch these games
I mean, if Kraft is truly convinced that Mac just needz moar time, and Bill Belichick was holding him back - well, presumably those folks would watch the True MacCorkle Jones (tm).

He had his chance and he bombed it. No going back. Release him. I do not think anyone would even give up a 7th
