Hopefully this means that some of our injured linemen might be on the way back. Either that or I hope Lynch can block.

Jeez, our OL is cursed this year.
But Welcome aboard Lynch.

I doubt this as any implication on the other ailing linemen. Stokes wasn't practicing anyway so that doesn't leave them any more thin than they already are.

Sucks about Stokes. It looked like he was a beast in the Ravens game.. maybe not..

He only played in a handful of snaps near the end of the game after Jimmy Martin moved to RT. He was in on some FG units though.

Where the hell is Matt Light and what's freaking wrong with him? Seriously - Has anyone heard anything?

Damn, and here I thought maybe we could get a "Stokes 75" jersey on the market. I had too much pride to associate myself with JJ Stokes when he came to town, but an O-lineman would have been great.

More than anything conditioning is my #1 concern when he does come back. It seems that a lot of veterans are being managed very closely, maybe BB learned from his other previous long seasons. But Light, Neal, Hochstein, O'Callaghan and Ross need to get in there by next week at the latest and play in the Philly game to get in game shape. Not worried yet but I will be if they're out next week as well. Maybe the plan is to go with a lineup of Britt, Mankins, Koppen, Yates or Welbourn and Kaczur for the early part of the season.

Placing each of your offensive linemen correctly and getting them the right amount of reps is a critical camp task. I always felt that Bill Parcells has the right theory about playing lineman in the preseason. He takes the approach that offensive lineman are like boxers and have to have a certain amount of sparring rounds before they are ready for a fight. I think you have to play your starting offensive line into the third quarter of the second and third preseason games. They have to be ready for the heat and humidity of September’s weather.

Only problem would be that even if he did make it the number would have to change, since that is Wilfork's.

Speaking of the banged up OL - I haven't read/heard anything about Oliver Ross injury, anyone else? I was hoping on him providing some depth, but haven't heard the extent of the injury that is keeping him out.

Duh, that was a pretty good brain fart right there by me.

He had surgery to repair a torn triceps muscle. From there I'm sure you can imagine the work he'd need to build that arm back up for wrestling DL.

That may take awhile...I thought for some reason it was a knee...good info..It might take awhile..so I could see IR for him..after PUP...maybe..
