Wasn't all that long ago we had a pretty colorful collection of beloved 'idiots' here. The '04 Sox had more than their fair share of characters

One of my favorite stories from that team was one about Johnny Damon.
In the offseason he lived in a very high-dollar gated community in Florida.
To stay in shape and make running less boring, he would chase the Mercedes etc
in his neighborhood and try to out run them- bearing in mind this was Damon with the full, untrimmed beard, hair halfway down his back and maniacal look in his eyes. Scared the **** outta the rich old ladies that lived there so cops asked him to please stop doing it.
And of course, Manny emerging from the door in the Monstah while zipping up his fly in front of a full house and millions more on national TV, including me. One of the funniest things I've ever seen on tv.
