Lombardi: Randy Moss waived by Vikings [mergedx19]

That is what I thought originally. However, it was brought up previously that Minnesota is actually on the hook for the remainder of Moss' salary from the season. A bit over 3.5 million

Minnesota is only on the hook if Moss clears waivers. If a team claims Moss, they pick up the rest of the tab.

Do teams that wish to claim him speak to him first? What if he just says 'i only want the pats else im not interested?'

Please God, don't let the Jets don't claim him.

Outside of the Detroit game this week, the rest of the Jets schedule is outdoors with Pittsburgh having the "nicest" climate. Sanchez wouldn't be able to reach any of Moss' routes.

Thanks for the info, Deus..

If he comes back here, I say, "Welcome back, Randy... now get on the field, catch the ball when it comes your way, and shut up when it doesn't."

If he doesn't come back, after seeing the way he played against us, I'm honestly not concerned no matter where he goes.

Doesnt have a choice. If a team claims him and Moss doesnt want to play Moss has to sit out the rest of the season and doesnt get paid.

Legally, he's bound by his contract. If a team claims him, then they can withhold game checks until he reports.

Interesting, so could well come down to the jets then, unless he goes elsewhere in NFC

If he decides not to report to whatever team claims him, what happens next year? Is he a FA, or does the new team still hold his rights?

Remaining stops on the Bill Belichick Randy Moss Covert Destruction Tour 2010: Browns, Colts & Jets.

By week 17 we will have screwed over Childress, Mangina, Manning & the Jets and have all their playbooks & audibles as well.

Next stop, World Domination! LMAO

I would say Seattle might go for him. Miami is a possibility as well. Very interesting because teams only have 24 hours to decide, once 24 is over he is a free agent and any team can sign him

He's certainly not going to fall to the Pats. He'll probably be playing opposite Marshall or with McDaniels.

Bakes - aren't their rules about teams having already claimed players off waivers?

I wouldnt be surprised if he cleared waivers.Alot of teams might be scared now to sign Moss. The only teams i could see are the jets or the dolphins for the simple fact they are in our division. The Jets dont need him though.
