Any chance Belichick & Moss planned this all along? Belichick hates Childress from that waiver claim thing a few years ago.

It would be brilliantly diabolical.

From Twitter: DraftSharks Already heard it RT @Greg_A_Bedard So how long before somebody floats that this was all a backroom deal cooked up by Belichick and Moss?

I do not think he is coming back, but if he did would he become the first player to play a team 3 times in the regular season. The Jets.

Where's that poll from 4 weeks ago regarding "Are the Patriots Throwing in the Towl by Trading Moss Away?"

Truthfully, though, my concern right now is for Rany Moss' mental health. I hope he's ok. I fear he's not.

As dumb as this all makes the Vikings look, what choice did they have? When a player gives a press conference about how much he loves the opposing team then refuses to get on the plane home, you can't keep him around.

On the flip side, Belichick has had a heck of a personnel year.

Moss was his own worse enemy. He needed to just stay in NE and put up the stats and he would have gotten paid.He did it the wrong way.

Bruschi and dilfer blasting chilly right now...says one of dumbest moves ever made by a HC. Guys..hate to burst your bubble ...but there is NO way moss will be back in NE. First, no way he gets through waivers...secondly, BB has moved on....as bruschi said "the pats haven't lost a game since moss left"..they don't need him..

If Moss comes back, is Teenuh going to want to kiss Bill Belichick on the nose?

Neverending drama with this league. I love it. Would love to see Randy come back.

Agreed. There is one genius on that Moss poll thread who posted, "6- 10 here we come". Gotta love it.

Too true. This all may be funny to us, but we wouldn't want to live it.

Sorry if this has been asked already. But when you claim someone off waivers do you essentially takeover whatever contract that player has remaining and don't owe anything compensatory to the original team?

If the Jets were to get him I would be sick... Or the Colts. As stupid as it sounds, him going to the jets may be possible the way Rex Ryan jumps all over "superstar" players.

In part I agree but there were definitely better ways of handling this. Childress handled this like a 7 year old losing at Monopoly and throwing the board.

If only to watch Chilly explode into a million little tiny pieces.

My sister in laws former ex-boyfriend former roomate just told me Brady has cut his hair to avoid any more verbal altercations with Moss. This means Moss will be back guaranteed.

shmessy, I'm afraid you are correct my friend. Some bizarre stuff coming out of his mouth. I just hope he's O.K.

I want Randy back.

That is what I thought originally. However, it was brought up previously that Minnesota is actually on the hook for the remainder of Moss' salary from the season. A bit over 3.5 million

Moss won't play for any team but the Pats. Too many friends here and I think he's got two houses here as well(RI and MA if you're interested). Plus he obviously wont need to learn the playbook. He'll put up the best stats with the best qb in the league and the best coach. Moss has to look at his waiving as a blessing.

I do think Indy is an intriguing fit for him because of that dome. But I don't think Caldwell has the courage to take on such a volatile persona.

I said the same thing. It's possible. Get him back, vikes honor his contract. we give him a few mill, he gets the$ he wanted, we get a3rd rounder. I would think he could ask for more $ than he's worth from other teams just to be a pat again
