Tony and Josh had a major falling out in Denver so even if he does that's not happening.

He is familiar with McDaniels' system, and the Patriots have reportedly been looking for TE help all year. So if he is healthy, I don't see why the Patriots won't at least sniff around him. He's 30 years old and should sign for the veteran minimum.

This offense needs time to click and get healthy, but it certainly could use any sort of reinforcements, whether it be through signing or trade.

Not necessarily done - Pettigrew is better than him, and Fauria has clearly supplanted Scheffler as a red zone 2TE threat.

Honestly, I'm not sure that he's an upgrade on Hooman though.

He's a vet, so he doesn't go through waivers (that changes after the trade deadline).

That was the rumor re: trading Peyton Hillis for Brady Quinn.

I am still surprised at how far this position has fallen in a year. Hooman has been a nonfactor as a receiver and continues to miss key blocks. When he is cut, I suspect he will join the ranks of the unemployed with Fells.

Ah for the dog days of summer when we were reading the thread about having so many good TEs we needed to trade a couple for high picks. Good times.

Meanwhile, in TE news, Hernandez's girl friend has been indicted for perjury. His buddy indicted as an accomplice to muredr and the judge refused to recuse herself as requested by the DA.
