Lions and Ndamokomg Suh talking smack

Suh kind of reminds me of Merriman. Started his career out fast. Got confident and did some talking. Next is getting caught with a banned substance. Then finish your career with on and off injuries.

He's only in his second season....

uh....vince wilfork says hi

sounds like you're trying to forget how vince wilfork used to be..... remember?

hell even seymour

they weren't earning fines at the same pace as suh, and they weren't slamming Qb's the same as Suh

either way, guy like this earn bullseyes on their knees

Ndamukong Suh Says He's Not a Dirty Player Because His Mother Doesn't Think So - NFL - NESN.com - Michael Hurley

"I'll consider myself a dirty player when my mom calls me a dirty player," Suh said Monday.

Suh shrugs off talk of playing dirty - NFL - NESN.com - AP

"I don't regret it at all," Suh said. "What I find funny about the situation is that I wasn't the one called for the 15-yard face-mask penalty, and I also didn't know you could get fined for defending a teammate."

He said he had a "great talk about the play with the referee who was right there."

"He said in the future, I should let them handle those situations, but that he understood exactly what I was trying to do," he said.
"Last year, we earned respect, but this year we want fear," Suh told a CBS Sports reporter during Saturday's broadcast. "We want quarterbacks to fear us, and we want offensive lines to fear us."

Keep it coming, Suh. I remember what happened to the last team that gloated over a victory over the Pats. 45-3.

Congratulations on your preseason victory.

Yeah, I know. It's kind of like crowing about a regular season victory a year later and forgetting about what happened in the . . . .

Oh, wait a minute, now.

Nevermind.

What's the big deal?

If I were one of the best players in the league and played for a team that's gone 8--40 over the last three years, but that is starting to get its act together and might have a "real deal" at QB, I'd probably get a little carried away as well after embarrassing what some are calling the best team in the League and its HOF QB and HC.

What's the old saying? "Noblesse oblige?"

Let's not take stuff like this as personally as we would have taken it a decade ago. One of the (very few) things I admire about the NY Yankees is that they just let trash talk from other teams roll off their backs (except maybe the Red Sox, whom they view as a legitimate rival now), even when they're sucking for a few games or a particular season.

bs, he was poking players in the eyes (wilfork)

the only difference is, the fines have gone up and safety has become a priority in the nfl

Given the extent of the rear end WHOOPIN that they inflicted on our sorry boys, well, I think he has a right to talk. If the reverse were true, you'd be talking, wouldn't you?

Yeah

The Patriots and patsfans.com are filled with people who talk smack........in the preseason.

The PRESEASON.

Actually, many of their fans were talking smack. I told them that the only time I have seen a more dominating first half was last Thanksgiving.

Didn't Cincy talk smack back in 2009?

Isn't it great to route for a team that opponents treat like the Super Bowl in preseason?

Wait so Suh says that the ref saw him throw the punch and just went and talked to him about it? The ref saw the punch, and didn't throw a flag.

You, sir, may be utterly correct in your assessment. I can only hope. HOpefully BB WAS SANDBAGGING them...don't know why he would take a chance on brady getting killed which he almost did.

The talk was Brady almost got killed in the first half last Thanksgiving.

How about.......I don't care if Wilfork or even Seymour are labeled dirty. I have no problem with anyone calling them dirty if that's what they are. My point was, that Suh supposedly took a fly at Brady when he thought he was going to stand up after being knocked down. That's how I interpreted what the announcers were saying (in a ho, ho, way). Seems to me, that that is a defenseless position.

Eh, I kinda feel bad for him and the Lions. They were really, really, really happy to be scoring touchdowns and actually winning a football game.

This is what happen when you lose games, hopefully it will remind the patriots of last years playoff loss to the jets. you don't want someone to talk trash after the game? Then beat them and shut them up, that is your motivation.

i couldn't care less about the lions this year, they probably wont be in the Superbowl and the Patriots arent on their schedule this year so as far as im concerned Suh can talk as much smack as he wants and hopefully it lights a fire up underneath the patriots asses.

Did anybody see that Suh tried to spear Brady when was was already being held?
I have tried to find the time in the game, but still can't. Any help will be appreciated.

good to see mankins coming to suh's aid in regards to this utter bull**** about him being a dirty player

“I wouldn’t say Suh’s a dirty player,” Mankins said. “I think Suh’s a great player. He’s got a load of talent. He plays good and he plays hard. He defends his teammates. He does all the things that I would want in a teammate.”

surprised none of you mentioned this.....

This team could use a few players with Suh's attitude

Suh is a great player, but is rapidly turning into a D-bag off the field with his smack talk. He'd be better served to be a beast on field, and then humble off of it. That's one of the issue with Detriot, they don't have a coach that'll stand up and tell him to "shut the eff up" or remind him that it was a preseason.

Most of the time in these preseason games your opponents are just faceless teams. Different bodies to block as you try to work out the situational aspects of your game. You don't (or shouldn't) actually gameplan for them. The fact that the Lions actually did, is pretty telling about the organization.

Somebody already said it, but Suh does have that same Merrimen feel to him. A great player, who knows he's great..... and things quickly unravel from there.
