Wow, Adolph Goodell must be in a good mood. He must've gotten a good look at Crowder without his helmet on and felt Matt was doing the league a service. I thought for sure Light was going to get slammed.

We've had way too many season-ending injuries vs. the Steelers. I feel a lot better w/ Cassel's chief protector in the game, especially after Brady got taken out on a play Faulk would probably have blocked successfully.

Anyway, back on topic, I am surprised it's only a fine. I'm only surprised because of who the commissioner is and not because of the actions (which didn't warrant more than a fine).

At first I though a suspension, especially when the talking heads and mediaidiots all said that...but when one looked at OTHER fights and no suspension..it made sense. NOT that I would have been surprised if BadL handed a kick again to the Pats..he has OTHER issues.. on hand..

Wow that's amazing Light only got fined $15K. Good for him. I wonder if refs chimed in with opinions that Crowder, Porter, et al. were talking a big talk all game instigating and that played in some to the decision.

I recall that a few years ago Mike Carey didn't even flag a player who punched someone after that player spit on them (pretty sure it was Sean Taylor who spit on the person, could have been Terrel Suggs though ...).

After the game, when asked why he didn't throw a flag for the punch, Carey said something to the effect of that is about as controlled as a reaction as I could have hoped for under the circumstances.
