Ok here is White on June 15, 2005. If the media was so shocked by his condition, somebody must have a pic. I cannot find one. Can anybody so we can compare?

You must first locate the man from the grassy knoll, he will know where to find the pics. I'm gonna pull a Ralph Wilson and just vote 'No' based on pure confusion, ignorance, and lack of comprehension of the whole situation.

The troubling thing is that he needed to realize that these were some of the most important days of his life. He needed to be prepared for it and he wasn't. It sounds like he got by in college just on his ability alone, which is tough in the NFL since EVERYONE has ability. That being said, if you watched the guy in the Rose Bowl you can't help but like how he plays, and if he does indeed slide to the 2nd, you give him a shot.

Don't have a pic but I did see a shot of him on ESPN and he is MUCH, MUCH bigger than that now. MUCH bigger. He did have loose clothing on like they said.

Good Point

nope, but faulks might, let me hear you say maurice, maurice, maurice, (or addai haha)

mavfan,

I have come around to the similar opinion. Kevin is 29 going on 30, and he will eventually need a replacement. There are three guys who appear to be 3rd down backs with very good receiving capabilities. Addai in the second (and he can handle the blitz); Jerious Norwood in the third, Maurice Drew in the fourth.

Both of the latter picks need grooming on blitz protection, an absolute necessity with a Brady-type, crown jewel. Norwood is the weakest with pass catching but he is no slouch. None is a KF though, as Kevin is the best in the League now that cousin Marshall has aged a bit. In a couple of years any of them could transition to KF role. Perhasp the best to be expected out of the offense deficient draft.

post draft BB can assess the need to sign or trade for an aging big back understudy, like Davis, Taylor or even Antowain Smith.

Maybe Pass concentrates on being Dillon's understudy in particular rather than a backup for both. I though Pass was a workmanlike FB type pass catcher, more than a fully 3rd down type like KF.

Crazy, everything you wrote makes perfect sense. I don't like what I am reading either. I got a question though. How does a guy go from the Rose Bowl to having man b00bs only 2 months later? I don't think that there are enough HoHo's in Cali to do that. Here is a guy who is a monster specimen and next he needs a bra? In a matter of a few months the media now calls him Fat Albert? I just don't think so. Ok he may have put on 10 lbs or so, but this bra stuff just seems like foolishness. Anybody have a pic of it to see the truth? Did the media just blow it out of proportion? Is there a team that has set out to slander him so the can use their low draft pick to get him? And BTW, while bench pressing is a lot of upper body, you do need your legs for a base. It is difficult to press with a pulled hammy. Not impossible, but a bad pull could really effect it.

People commented at the Rose Bowl after the Chrsitmas break he played at over 250... way over his in-season weight, that is where it started, IMHO. But he had a great game even at that weight.

I don't want him in the first, i really think he is a pudgy Ron Dayne. I also recall Mike Holovak threatening to make Jim Nance into a Guard because he got so big. Nance was the best FB I ever saw, better as a FB than Larrry Csonka but he never had the cast to work with than Zonk had around him, IMHO.

Nance actually slid in the NFL draft because of such concerns; one of the reasons the Pats were able to sign him to the AFL. You never know...

"For all the public talk of Southern California running back LenDale White sliding in the draft, there also is just as much behind-the-scenes talk of him getting drafted just where many predicted.

One team in the 20s recently encouraged White not to run before the draft so it can pounce on him with its selection in the first round. Another team in the mid-teens already has told White it plans on drafting him.

Teams have questions about White's hamstring, which he initially hurt on a Cybex machine at the Combine, and then re-injured while running three weeks ago. But teams also know White's production, and no matter how much his reputation is sullied in the coming days, it still looks like White will be a first-round pick."

Maybe that team in the 20's is us. If that were true it would be the most sneaky, clever thing BB/SP have done to date.

We do not need white. I think he will be a day 2 pick.
