LeGarrette Blount On Crutches

How many practices did Williams get under his belt?

Iosefa is on the practice squad - could serve as dual-threat FB and between-the-tackles RB.

No idea if he can pass-protect, but he's really strong - top weight reps at combine. Obviously very slow (5.02 second 40 yd - worst among the RB's) for a standard-issue NFL RB, but may be decent as a short-yardage guy.

In college he was a RB:

Good lord, 5.02? I don't think I like the idea of giving the ball to a guy who is slower than every defensive player on the field.

That's actually pretty fast (by normal human standards), I imagine if you're strong and quick enough, you can still play the RB position with a 40 like that.

FWIW, Arian Foster had a pretty sh*tty 40 (which explains why he wasn't drafted) and still turned out ok.

There ain't any normal humans on an NFL football field on Sunday afternoon.

True, but the point is, he's still pretty fast and the 40 yard really isn't the best measure for an RB. It measures how fast you are when you're wearing tights and swinging your arms fast; not when you're in full gear and carrying a football.

Monte Ball has a locker

Crutches....no bueno. So so thin at RB

Wow looks like I made a good call on Montee Ball

No, he's extremely slow for an NFL RB. I've never seen a RB 40 time that slow. There are routinely 300+ pound offensive/defensive linemen who run better 40s than that.

Although, I agree 40 time isn't the best measure for a RB, but a 5.02 time really hints at a big time lack of athleticism.

Hell, I'm not against giving anyone a try. Maybe he'll be a great FB and be able to catch a few out of the backfield. Who knows? I would rather have someone who has been practicing with team out there than a street FA. That's for sure.

Montee Ball could be on a serious vendetta mission on the Donkeys.

That alone might carry him through the playoffs.
