Great news, when I heard crutches in the locker room I tought he was going to be IR'ed.

Reiss thought it was a joke as Easley was seen in the locker room that day and was not limping at all. Crisis averted (for now).

But didn't Tommy Kelly return to practice with his injured knee before being put on IR last year?

Hopefully they'll both be present tomorrow.

He did miss practice due to "knee" and was questionable for a couple of games earlier so I tend to doubt it is a joke, but glad to see he is able to return. I think he has been a valuable contributor already with better days ahead.

The FO is just trying to curb hysteria and postpone realization that they completely butchered the draft. Again.

Yep, that's why they suck so bad, they can't draft. that's also why they have had to go after all the high priced free agents to stay on top, they can't draft.

Catchable in the sense that he would have had to instantly grow 6 inches to have a legitimate shot at it?

There is no way that pass was catchable.

Are you referring to this?

If you do not think, a NFL WR can make a catch on a ball that would require at best a 20-inch vertical for a 5’10” WR to make I disagree completely. Was it a good throw, hell no, but suggesting it was an uncatchable football is a load of dog poop.

Amendola is a solid foot and a half off the ground running full speed, the only person on his team who would have caught that ball Is gronk and he has 9 inches in height on amendola.

that was a geno smith caliber throw, Blaming Amendola for that interception is an act of madness.

It was also tipped at the line, altering where it went in relation to where Amendola was expecting it to be. Ask a hockey goalie how hard it is just to get in front of something (never mind catch) that is tipped even a few degrees.

Very good news...about time we had some good news on the injury front!

Impossible. KontradictioN told me Easley was "already injured".

Did you not see him getting helped off the field? You do realize it's possible that he got injured and got better over the course of the bye week. Not like something like that is unheard of.

Nobody is blaming Amendola, it was a poor throw no question, I said Amendola had a catchable football go off his hands and get intercepted. That is what happen, I never said a perfectly thrown football off his hands. I said in my post he had a good game overall, I am not blaming him for anything as I said, I am acknowledging an occurrence.

You keep using that word, I don't think it means what you think it means, Amendola in full stride and jumping 18 inches into the air, arms full extended above his head, and the ball barely hits his finger tips.

that is not even remotely in the vicinity of "catchable" for a receiver of Amendola's height. Thus, it's only catchable if he was 6 inches taller.

i've rewatched the replay a few dozen times now, that was the least influential tipping at the line that I've ever seen.

It would have been a very nice catch, and the slight tip might actually have been the difference between a catch/knockdown and the INT, but that ball was definitely not uncatchable or, at the least, capable of being knocked down.

That's asking a lot of the receiver in that situation, though.

Here's the thing with tips though: you sometimes flinch in one direction or another anticipating the change in path. Did Miller impact the flight of the ball? Almost impercepitably. Did Miller's efforts cause Amendola to instinctually move his hands as a result of the tip? I don't know...the fact is the ball was tipped, and Amendola was reacting split-second on a hard thrown pass.

I'm not saying you're wrong, because you're not, the ball barely moved off it's original path (hat tip to Brady's rocket arm, he threw some DARTS against Denver). But the catchability of the ball and Amendola's reaction to the tip aren't only predicated on the degree to which the ball was influenced by Miller.

The ball was slightly behind him and way above him when he ran a crossing route at full speed. That's not a catchable ball and to say that "Amendola had a catchable football go off his hands and get intercepted" when the throw was so off is just rediculous.

Unless you can catch a football with one fingertip, it was not catchable.
When the bottom of the football hits your fingertip, you can not catch the pass, no matter who you are.

Some people feel the need to make things up so they can call the GOAT perfect.
