Krafts Have a Decision To Make on GM

If we want a different dynasty from that of Kraft, then I suggest choosing a new team. I don't think that Kraft will choose to not only get rid of Belichick, but also get rid of anything that Belichick touched.+
Hmm, it hasn't worked the last 4 seasons and Brady ain't walking through that door. In the last 3 years, 8 different teams made it to CCG and none of them had anything to do with Belichick. It is possible to be a contender w/o Belichick. Football players change teams all the time and adapt to new systems and schemes. It's actually a thing.

NEM was kind of right about Josh McDaniels the coach ... RIP New England Mike.

Speaking of McDaniels ... my tea leaves are speaking ... Bill stays and McDaniels
is brought aboard in front office advisory capacity operating along with or under Matt Groh.
Crazy .... sure ... but I just do not see Bill leaving ... He needs to take back the locker room and he
has already started ... the draft and cap space he will use to get it back ... if he left I think the only job he would take is NY Giants coach.
I agree.

BB is tanking on purpose for this draft and he is not leaving. Money talks and for over 20 years BB has taken pretty good care of Krafts money. Yes, there have been bad contracts like Jonnu and Agahlor, but look at the Giants and Dan Jones. I see McDaniel's back at OC because BOB will take a college HC job.

I'm not so sure Bill gives a damn about that record, he has his own record of Super Bowl rings that he probably thinks is more important.
Brady the player has more rings than Bill the HC, unless you add in Parcell's two rings like Bill did naming his boat. But if Bill's looking to add more rings to his collection now he better go to a jeweler or another team, because this collection of misfits aren't winning anything under his watch.

If I were to take a guess at what floats Bill's boat the most I'd go in the order of money, his legacy and then team. Everything he's done points to that order.

Yes all the time
I met NEM at the Arizona Pats fan club during first Phoenix Super Bowl. I also met the Krafts and Andre Tippet who was just inducted to the NFL HOF.
Boston was a brick house but was too much Muscle and lost all his speed.
David Boston played in Phoenix where NEM lived so he was always on his radar. Probably drove by his house.

In 2001, Boston had 1598 receiving yards and 8 TDs.
Nothing will beat the ranting against Weis.
Weis refused to call slants across the middle. NEM would write numerous letters to Kraft wanting Weis fired. One of these letters must have made its way to Charlie because he mailed NEM an autographed 8" x 10" portrait picture from camp.

When Blunder Bill first arrived here there were many fans who claimed that it was a huge mistake. They were wrong. And now the team can bring in a fresh face and maybe they'll be surprised.

Oh there's lots of damns to be given considering the disrespect Shula lobbed towards BB for a long time. We all know BB's petty.

How do you remember that ?

I remember Boston’s monster year and yes I remember Nem saying he was in Phoenix.
Boston put that up before he became like 99 percent muscle lol. He was built more like AJ Brown before he just went nuts with the muscles and then looked slower than Harry the fast twitch and explosiveness was gone and never came back.

Bostons 2000 year was good too. 1156 yards and 7 TDs.

2003 Boston with SD was not shabby either- 880 yards and 7 TDs.

Problem is the 20 plus year relationship Bob has with bill will
Not be easy to end it.
Bob had no problem dumping Brady after 20 years and that was when Brady was still a top QB. He should have no problem dumping an inferior HC/GM.

The biggest obstacle to letting Bill go for Bob is money and that could be a big one.

I’ve gone from Crazy Chris when this site first opened to crazy Patriot fan to chrisr2223 to zappe hour to Bourne again Christian.
I was an AOLe during dynasty I and I used to use the name JR2001 and then I'd change it every year. I got to JR2002 but then I got an email from someone at the end of 2002 who took JR2003. All he said was Time Marches On. I then added the next 5 years worth of names and at the end of 2003 I sent the same message back.

I think I remember that screen name JR

I think it’s as little bit of both.
The fact we outright cut Jones is def a Bill move this tells me he’s going nowhere anytime soon.

You forgot his nepotism. Making sure his two sons are firmly entrenched in nfl coaching circles by giving them jobs they didn’t earn.

Remember the story that came out recently once McCourty retired that Steve was another safeties coach and he freely admitted to the players he didn’t know what he was doing?

Bob Kraft picked Terry Glenn.
Technically, Parcells did, having him at the top of the draft board. Kraft just made him follow his own system.
*After the 3 SB that he won as a GM...
Interesting. I did not know that. Al Davis was great too, until he wasn't. I stand by my opinion that Jerry Jones isn't winning a SB as long as he's pretending to be a GM. Building stadiums and growing the brand, there's no one better than Jones. Leave the football decisions to the football people.

Can't disagree with you there.

Where the hell do people get off telling Pats fans to find another team if they don't agree with their take? Why don't they leave if they've had enough of the fans here? Especially fans like myself who have been with the team long before Bob or Bill and before most fans here were born. WTF!?!

Bob Kraft didn't save this franchise, Brady did. Brady also made Bob and every other person in the organization filthy rich. When Tom told Bob that he was the best decision this team ever made he was spot on. Unfortunately, Bob and Bill showed their appreciation 20 years later by making the dumbest decision they ever made over a few dollars, and some fans here are scrambling around in circles trying to justify that stupidity.

Until Tom arrived the team had never won, with or without Kraft. And then, lo and behold, Bill, who started off at 5-11 in 2000 and 0-2 in 2001, was forced to put in Brady and won at an unprecedented rate, until, you guessed it, Bob and Bill decided that they wanted to save money on Tom's contract and the team went right back into the ****ter.

None of that is a coincidence and it clearly wasn't Belichick's magic using coaching techniques from a century ago that made Tom what he was, otherwise Drew would have been better than he was. It was obviously the other way around.

The funny thing is that it wasn't even Bill who wanted to draft Brady, **** Rehbein was the one pushing for Tom. Bill caught a break because he had a better QB than Manning with a better attitude. Does anyone in their right mind think that PEDton, or any other top QB, would have come here and played for peanuts and 1 year contracts, or been as subservient as Tom was. Of course not.

After the 20 great years we had I have no problem with the losing. But I sure as hell have the right to express my critical opinions without repeatedly being told to go find another team.

Patriots fans should have a major shrine to Brady and a minor one to Rehbein.

Where BB deserves credit is carrying four QBs on the roster to protect Brady from being poached.
