Kevin Faulk: Newest Member of Pats Hall of Fame

I'm not against it and I'd be happy to help out. I'll sit down over the weekend and see if we can't come up with something. I think the letter is perfect, so I'll send out some emails and see what else might work well to make this happen

You're a star, Ian (well, we knew that anyway).

Faulk was a nice player here who had a great 2007 play off. he was a middle of the road RB with above average receiving skills. in 16 playoff games he scored 1 TD. he also had 25 fumbles.
HOF? hardly...Clayborn was a pro bowl caliber player...so was Vrabel

How the hell was he "middle of the road" when he compiled a franchise record 12,349 yards? And 9 of those 25 fumbles you mention were in his first 2 years. After that he NEVER had more than 4. In fact, after they signed Antowain Smith in 2001, he got a "lesser" role and a more profound one.

From what I can tell Boston.com is folding and we are getting some of their worst posters and trolls.

well yes, 16 fumbles in years 6 thru 16
perhaps a better return man the RB? certainly a clutch receiver out of the backfield, but really not a threat after the catch
again, nice player, but certainly not the player Clayborn or Vrabel were

me thinking Faulk is middle of the road and not the player Vrabel or Clayborn were is trolling? curious if you ever saw any of them play? or did you simply like the Brady uni draft deal? that get Faulk in for you?

It simply showed that you never watched them play, anyone who has knows he was as clutch as they get.

Yep. Hopefully they have some who will be good contributors but so far it's been the dregs, at least in terms of the most vocal ones.
seems you guys don't like getting your noses bloodied a bit by some new guy, huh?

ok, does clutch make him a better player than pro bowlers?

You'd be assuming wrong because I actually voted for Clay. But I knew that after the draft, Faulk had pretty much sealed it for himself. And Vrabel was great for the Pats, but he wasn't a Pat his entire career, unlike Faulk. That has to count for something also.

I have lurked there for a bit before it got crappy. Like any board, they have their share of characters, good and bad. Apparently they have made their own message board but it'd be cool to have some of them come here too. So far though, it's a dud.

Probably 2nd on my personal list (after Troy Brown) of favorite Patriots of all time to watch. Although that draft day stunt he pulled off really should vault him to the top.

Actually yes, it does. Faulk didn't put up gaudy numbers but they always brought him in when they needed a first down or a big play, and he delivered. He might have only had ten touches in a game but seven or eight would be critical to the win. He was a big part of their success and his numbers will never reflect his importance to the team.

Ooooooohhhhhh, message board tough guy.

I am all for any good poster joining this site but have no patience for the bloviators and trolls. You look like the latter. If so it will be a short stay.

seems our expectations for HOF are a bit different. fair enough.

nah, just a fan that enjoys a good discussion. 12,900 posts does not make a good fan, just a guy with out much to do in life

@Ivan is a damn cool dude. His post count doesn't matter. What he knows about the team and his devotion to it is what matters. What also matters is how you approach your posts, and so far, it isn't worthy.

Ignore him, It's RKrap from the Globe board. He's over at a new board formed by a former Browns fan who lied about coming to our fanbase in 2000 because he loved BB so much. I am not kidding you. That is his backstory. It was so awkward. They're this little clique of about 25-30 who never sat through the Sullivan years. They're trolls.

RKrap is from NY, loves the Jets and works for ESPN.

He was trolling the Globe board for years bashing BB daily and repeating anything and everything ESPN would say about the Pats. Whether or not he was paid to do it or not, no one really knows.
