Wes welker lanes are going to get a whole lot smaller to work with now! I really wanna see wat belichick has in store

via twitter

he should worry about the sorry ass team he plays with now instead of the patriots.

This doesn't make me feel any better

Obviously Jets saw Moss as so much of a threat their scheme was to try and contain him and just take their losses with Welker

God damn this trade

Who is he and why should we care?

The Jet's have shutdown Moss for about two years now, it's time for the offense to evolve.

we r stacked up front. Randy Moss was a necessary loss.... we have cheaper, quicker, younger talent to take his place

I expect to see a lot of Edelman now.

Wes, Edelman, Hernandez.

because he knows about the Patriots team more than you and I

Wish Kontra's gif of Maroney surprise sexing him was still around.

The Jets had zero problems containing Moss (without Revis) and beating us about two weeks ago or has everybody forgotten about the "WHHHHHYYYYYYY is Brady locking in on Moss?????" stuff from back then?

Short term memories here. Geez.

Furthermore, STFU, Kerry Rhodes.

Who do we have to take Moss's place? Looks to me like Tate just became our flanker, with nobody at all backing him up. And I guess that might actually make Hernandez our split end? Edelman?

Our primary (only) deep threat is a guy with 11 career catches. That'll really help give Welker room to operate.

More than Belichick too?

No. However, we don't know the reason M0$$ was traded. The bottom line is this trade makes things harder for Welker.
Maybe Moss was becoming bad for the locker room but it doesn't mean Rhodes opinion is wrong.
I'm pretty upset.

Of the 14 points that the Pats managed against the Jets, 7 of them were on a Moss catch that nobody else in the league can make, which he made against Revis (they did have Revis, and he hurt himself trying to cover Moss). Probably not the best example.

The positives: 1. No more jump balls 2. Edelman, Welker and Hernandez on the field at the same time.

Tate

Welker

Hernandez

Edelman

Gronk

Price

its called being a realist and by doing so you realize Moss was not all that. His legacy has made him out to be an elite WR in the NFL and that is not the case. TFB would still throw to him in double coverage.... yeah ok.... stupid.
Smooth move...

That is not a positive... What you call "jump balls" = points. So "no more jump balls" means more more difficult to score, thus less points.

BTW there were never any "jump balls" to begin with. One of my biggest gripes was that we never would even attempt to throw a jump ball in the red-zone to Moss. I never did understand why not have the best QB in the NFL lob it to the best WR in the NFL.

so many Receivers go unnoticed because they are never thrown too.

Moss would get throws in double coverage.... and it was a big gamble.

Randy Moss gone is a good thing.
