Jurevicius suing Browns, doctors, clinic over staph infection by Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer

The suit claims that the Browns and their team physicians failed to warn Jurevicius that sterile techniques were not at all times used at the Browns training facility in Berea; that therapy devices passed among multiple individuals, including Browns players, were not properly maintained and/or cleaned, if at all; and that community equipment and frequently used surfaces were not properly cleaned, if at all.

Considering all the problems Browns players have had with staph infections, it's a wonder RAC or Mangini have been able to recruit any free agents over the past few years.

Jurevicius' staph infection was one of seven publicized incidents of staph infection the Browns have had since 2003.

The Browns have been a mess since BB left. This new incarnation has been nothing but one screw up after another.

Seems like if you spend that much cash on players, you'd find ways to keep them uninfected.

Are they stupid how the hell do they get off not cleaning medical equipment.

You know what the plaintiff's lawyer is going to say (did not take reasonable precautions, reckless disregard of health of employees, etc.) but the truth is, eliminating staph infections isn't that easy. Which is not to say that the Browns shouldn't have done much better.

The Browns were at fault here. Didnt follow precedure to clean the place and now they are going to hear it for a while.
