June Jones (former NFL head coach) had Mac Jones ranked over Trevor Lawrence

I like Trevor Lawrence. I really do.

But his entire draft status was the result of one single surprisingly great game and upset over Alabama 3 years ago. The put him on top when his play (when adjusted for caliber of competition) since then has not justified staying there.

Where do you come up with this stuff lol? Genuinely asking bc this is wild.

The #1 thing for Mac is actually making sure OLine pass protection is elite and that deep throws still allow him to keep a TE or RB in to max protect if he sees pressure. Solution is not to get some new expensive WR. Agholor is already fast. Bourne is fast. They need to make sure Mac has 4 seconds to throw it deep. Mac has an elite deep ball so long as he isn't getting crushed.

That starts with getting the LT position figured-out, either by extending Trent Brown, signing one when free agency begins, or drafting one in the spring… We all (should) know that Isaiah Wynn/Lose ain’t the answer there.

Suggest extending Trent Brown and make him left tackle. Michael Onwenu to right tackle. Wynn's 11m contract looks ugly but can't make the team worse just because someone in the front office or oc staff don't want to look bad.

I am no Lawrence fan but his stats in college were pretty darn good. He had lots of games were he threw for over 300 yards. I think his last game he threw for over 400 yards against Ohio State. He was solid at Clemson and did well in big games.

The thing that people say in South Carolina (I am here) is that he is not that bright. But not sure if that means anything. Something tells me that if he was in NE, he would be doing a lot better.

Mac Jones is the best QB in the draft (Kyle Wilson is also good). I watched his tapes again and wow! Quick release, does not bird dog recievers, can take a hit, and is exceptionally accurate.

The big story is the colossal screw-up by the 14 teams before the Patriots that did not take Mac Jones. San Francisco was the biggest screwup of all; we should start a poll to see when John Lynch (Mob) is fired. After the first few weeks of camp? End of training camp? Or the end of pre-season when Mac is lighting it up. No way John Lynch makes it through the whole season. It is like Draft Day without the happy ending.
Don’t you understand he doesn’t make those crazy plays that the quarterback never should try in the first place.

"Cam2HarryGOAT"? And he also got Julio and June mixed up.

My guess...a new screen name was made.
Or I just don't care for the toxic nature of this forum so I don't come here very often. If people enjoy it here, good for them. To each their own.
And there was a Julio thread here. Not sure how this post ended up here. But definitely worth pointing out. Par for the course here.

I think even if you were to put Brady on the Jags this season, they would still miss the playoffs. That roster is a dumpster fire.

This forum is mild compared to others out there.

LOL, you wouldn't find it so toxic if you weren't a troll.

Probably. Was just hoping for a bit more camaraderie given we all have Pats fandom in common. It seems like we are missing a common enemy, like underdog on the old boston.com forums, for example. Or maybe those forums were worse than I remember. I expect disagreements. It would be really boring if all, or even most of us, agreed on everything. It just seems like there is a significant group of people here who come here just to attack people without any provocation, pick fights and argue, often over the silliest things.
I don't have anyone in real life to talk Pats, Celtics, Sox or Bruins with. So it would be nice to go have a place like this. But the energy here isn't great. It feels like most every other forum on the internet. That's on me though for being silly enough to think that it wouldn't be.

All of the Brady bunch (except Marcia of course) had Tom Brady rated as the best QB in his class

You are a perfect example of what I am talking about. Textbook. You don't like what some has to say, so you attack and slander them like a child. What has you people so riled up and ready to attack, like a rabid dog, is beyond me. And you can't understand why some people would be uninterested in interacting with such a fine group? Of course you can't.

Can't wait to see Cam play the Bucs again this Sunday.
Pats got flexed to 4:30. Unless you are going to DVR the game and somehow avoid the stupid ticker at the bottom it's an either/or choice between BUCS and Pats.

You reap what you sow. Your unprovoked, hateful and ignorant statements in the JC Jackson thread was enough for me. In life and on the internet you should expect to be treated as you treat others.

Easy choice.
Bucs on TV
Pats NOT on TV
