Ok, so I'm being a bit ridiculous. We all know what transpired this offseason. That being said, wasn't he in the running for the Raiders HC job?

Last year many here on this board lamented his play-calling and decision making. Many questioned his ability as a coach. After his offense has put up 76 pts in the first 2 games I have to go back to the argument that I, and many others here, have stood behind. Trust in BB's decision.

I just think it's time to give credit where credit is due. Belichick can't do it all and must trust in his subordinates to do a good job. Josh has done exactly that so far. I'm looking forward to every DC in football not being able to sleep at night.

On a side note, how good is life for our new WR coach Nick Caserio this year? He's come up through the ranks for the last 6 years and talk about being rewarded. Moss, Welker, Stallworth, Watson, Washington, Gaffney et al and Brown due to return. Outstanding. Life is good for this guy.

another example to your claim is what he did with the offense last year, a weak WR core an over the hill and too young RBs and well I guess the rest of the o was solid last year but you get the point

I bet a certain senile lunatic dwelling in the Southwest is about to turn on the engine with the garage door closed.

McDaniels can get no grade other than A+ so far.
We have had 16 drives.
Those 16 resulted in:
2 punts
1 turnover
8 TDs
4 attempted FGs
1 kneel down

That is TDs on 50% of our possessions, and FG attempts on another 25%.

One of the 2 punts was after a drop on a wideopen 3rd down.
The other was after gaining 13 yards on 3rd and 20 from our own 10.

The average Patriot drive, not counting the kneeldown, has been:
8 1/2 plays and 56 yards.

Yes, I'm aware he is screaming at his monitor right now and awaiting the "Exaulted" return of Charlie. Ahhhhh, the good old days.

We should enjoy this guy this year, because either next year or the year after he will be gone. This has been impressive and you can't ignore his contributions. Thanks Andyj.

i was just going to say 'what team will he be coaching next year?'

Maybe BB is shortlisting the plays that he is calling. Maybe the first two touchdowns last night were all in pre-arranged scripts that BB either produced or edited on Saturday.

Having Tom Brady throwing to Randy Moss can certainly make the play caller look good.
